Superfood Steam Skin Care Routine

elemis skincare products facial steam by tscHey guys, what’s up?

Today we’re going to discuss one of my favorite things ever…. facial steaming.

Facial steaming is so ideal. It opens your pores, tightens your skin, and I just love it. Micro-steam hydrates and purifies your skin, which makes it DEWY- that’s what we’re all about here right?!

Plus, it primes skin for exfoliation and helps your products absorb into your skin better. Very much about it.

You should also know that I love to experience with Korean face masks, but I haven’t found a ride or die yet. The one I’m wearing in the video is $8 from Amazon. Korean sheet masks are THE THING.

The trick here is to put a few drops of a superfood oil in your steamer. I explain everything in the video to give you the whole rundown, but I’m telling you, this tip is next-level. You’re going to get all the nutrients from the superfood oil, into your skin via the facial steamer.

STEPS FOR DEWY SKIN

Products in video:

The Steamer

My favorite is Dr. Dennis Gross’ facial steamer. Who would I be if I didn’t support my other boyfriend?! But actually, this really is the best one.

Elemis Cleansing Balm

I love how this balm makes my skin feel. It doesn’t feel stripped after I use it. It’s a great makeup remover, and smells like a spa. Plus, it has collagen and makes my skin feel plump. Use the code Skinny15 for 15% off at elemis.com!

Crystal Toner

This was gifted to me by a TSC reader. You know I love a mist more than life itself, and this one is bomb- you have to try it. There’s crystals at the bottom so it looks pretty and gives all the good vibes & energy.

Eye Masks

I’m a huge fan of these. They’re BIG and they cover the entire lower part of the eye. They’re the perfect consistency and they don’t fall down your face. When I take these off, my under eyes feel moisturized and tightened.

Elemis Superfood Oil

This oil smells amazing and is incredibly nourishing for your skin. TSC TIP: add a drop of this oil into your steamer to really multitask and take your skin care routine to the next level.

If you want to pick up this pink caboodle situation, it’s so fun for carrying your skin care in. – find it here.

You should know there’s a giveaway happening too! Details are at the end of the video so make sure you watch until the very end.

See you tomorrow,

x, lauryn

  1. My favorite skincare trick is unfortunately not a secret, but something I had to try out to believe, even if I’ve read it a thousand times – using OILS! Even with oily skin! Makes my skin so much more dewy and beautiful, and not greasy as I expected 🙂

  2. After 2 kids my skin has changed so much, nowadays I rotate between a weekly charcoal pudding mask followed by either watermelon mask or overnight resurfacing peel and nightly face oils (currently using No 7 Youthful Replenishing Oil) PS love your posts, podcasts etc!

  3. OOOhhh.. I’ve gotta have the cleansing balm!!! It looks FABULOUS.

My favorite (and most effective) skincare tip: When I get an ungodly, monstrous zit pop up out of freaking nowhere, I put a glob (like literally a glob) of Aveeno hydrocortisone anti-itch cream on it before I go to sleep.. In the morning, the swelling has subsided by like 50% and the redness is GONE. It’s freaking amazing. 😉

  4. Would a sauna have the same effect. My gym has one and I tend to sweat and relax alot. Might get one of that facial steamer machine, for those times when I am in a hurry and don’t have time for the sauna. they seem to be very quick and easy to use.

Also thanks for the discount 😀 !!
