+ Women’s Health Lite app: quick exercises for women on the go. All of these you can do for home, while working with the world’s best trainers & athletes. Women’s Health knows their shit. I browsed through this app & it’s super motivating, even if you don’t have a workout partner. Again, there’s absolutely no excuse to not workout! It’s cost efficient, user-friendly, & fast!

+ Whole Foods Market Recipes app: my girlfriend, Lisa recommended this one & after reading through the recipe index, I’m hooked. What I love about this app is that you can search by recipes, ingredients, or dietary preferences [ vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, low-fat, etc. ]. Definitely will be using Whole Foods fabulous recipe for “Simply Delicious Homemade Hummus.”

This works well for people that are always busy- take thirty minutes at home & squeeze in a Pilates class! If you’re wanting more Pilates tips, pay only $1.99 to buy the whole course. This is a total WIN.

+ MyFitnessPal app: Elena, my workout partner/friend, uses this app to keep herself on track. She raves over it; I tried the other day & it’s pretty spectacular. It asks for your weight, height, goal weight, birthday & then calculates how many calories you should eat a day to achieve your goal weight in record time. Although I am not a big calorie counter, this app is ideal for someone who really wants to watch their diet & attain life-changing results. Also note: MyFitnessPal was featured as a winner on the Dr. Oz Show.

Now see? There’s really no reason to not be in tip-top shape! What’s your favorite fitness/diet app?

  1. Hey Lauryn, you mentioned that you don’t count calories? What do you do instead? I’ve always been told that thats the only method to keep from over-eating.
    Hugs & kisses,

  2. I have the My Fitness Pal app and I love it – I used it to get in shape for my spring break! The best feature is its ability to scan bar codes!

  3. Nike Training Center is a good one! It has great 15 min, 30 min, and 45 minute workouts and a lot of variety too!
