If you guys follow along on Snapchat you know I’ve been doing late night ( well for me, late night ) 6:30 PM Pilates classes twice a week. AND I’M OBSESSED.

Mixing TSC Bombshell Body Guide with Pilates has really been the perfect combo. I notice a difference in my inner thighs, bat wings, & muffin top area. It’s kind of crazy how mixing the two workouts together have changed my body. Even Michael the other day was like “babe your ass is looking TIGHT.”

I was like “thanks babe, wish I could say the same about yours.” HA.

Tighter ass? I’ll take it!

Also, for the past four months I’ve been scheduling my workouts in a VERY strict way. You guys know I live and die by Google calendar but lately I’ve been going a step further & scheduling them with friends. So now the workout is in my calendar AND I have a set date. This ensures that there’s no backing out. A date is a date.

We even will drive to Pilates together so GASP, I’m on time. The whole thing has been awesome in terms of keeping workout commitments. Plus my ass is tighter since doing this, so there’s that too.

I highly recommend scheduling your workouts. My schedule goes kind of like this:
Monday: TSC BBG plus 30 min intervals on treadmill
Tuesday: Pilates
Wednesday: TSC BBG ( treadmill if time permits )
Thursday: Pilates or hike with friends
Friday: TSC BBG
Saturday: I try to do a workout; anything works. I just like to break a sweat once a day.
Sunday: yoga with Michael ( our new date on Sundays, him in downward dog is really just priceless ).

Basically I always schedule 7 days a week but normally end up working out 6.

Because hey, setting an intention changes everything.

Ultimately if I don’t sweat, I swear I get…bitchy. Working out is so much about clearing my mind & taking 30 minutes to an hour to spend time on ME. No work, no cleaning, no family/friends/BF, nothing. Just zen out.

So anyway, these pictures were taken before Pilates in my neon Nike sports bra ( really feeling neon lately with greys & blacks ), vintage Heather grey zip up, & new kicks. This sports bra REALLY holds the girls in & gives you that extra OOMPH that every girl on the planet loves.

Ok your turn, what are some workout tips that keep you ( & your ass ) on track?

Don’t miss out on this very TSC giveaway— it’s a goodie!

x, lauryn

    1. Hi Ashley! I am doing traditional reformer Pilates classes. I’m OBSESSED. Mat Pilates is great too! Have you done Pilates?

    2. I just started on the reformer this last month! It’s truly amazing. Kicks my ass like nothing else!

  1. I’m soooo obsessed with this post. I just had my first session with a trainer yesterday because I’ve been in a total rut and I feel so refreshed! I have your guide so I’m planning on meeting with him once a week and using your guide three weekdays to start!!!

    xoxo Meg

    1. Hi Meg, that sounds great! I can’t wait for you to see your results! Let me know how it goes. Are you going to schedule your BBG workouts? It helps a lot to see the appointment in your calendar. It helps me stay accountable. Happy New Year!

  2. Great Article! I love your workout outfit too. I love Neon workout clothes, I don’t know why. lol

I love Pilates! I wish I had more time to take a class but I usually do mine in the morning at home before I start my day!

    -Ashlee Michelle

    1. Hi Ashlee, I know what you mean as far as lack of time goes. I am lucky that my Pilates studio is literally one mile away from my house. It makes it much less time consuming. Thanks for reading!

  3. What a great post! I am in love with that sports bra! For the past couple of years, yoga has been my go to for keeping “my ass” in shape 🙂

Take care and happy new year!

    Charlotte B

    1. Hi Charlotte, I’m glad you like the sports bra! I LOVE yoga. Michael and I had started going on Saturdays/Sundays. Have you seen my Snapchats of Michael in crow pose?? SO GOOD. lol!! Happy New Year to you too

  4. I’ve been getting super into Boxing. There is a Boxing Gym right around the corner from my work. I literally have to drive by it to get home. Seeing it everyday really holds me accountable!

    1. Hi Kari, boxing is 100% on my list to start doing regularly this year. All the Victoria’s Secret Angels swear by it. What is your favorite thing about it? Do you notice a huge difference when you box regularly?? Do tell!

  5. Scheduling is everything. Every week on my blog I do a “weekly workouts” post to plan my week. I also find scheduling workouts on the weekends really holds you accountable to not go out and drink/ eat poorly. It’s a win win- save money and see results faster!

    1. Hi Diana, that’s a great idea! I love it! Which workouts do you do regularly? Which are your favorite? Thanks for reading and Happy NEW YEAR! xx

  6. Love the article, and the neon looks great! Hope that you have a phenomenal 2016 and good luck with those Pilates classes!

  7. I have been doing Pure Barre, some yoga, and running. At home sometimes I set the timer to 10 – 15 minutes and just do exercises that I know from different classes – planks, push-ups etc. I always run by myself but I want to start doing running dates this year!

    1. Hi Jennifer, I love your timer idea. I totally forget to time myself, the treadmill is the only time I feel like I 100% stick to my time goals. Or if I’m working out with a trainer!

  8. Some workout tips that keep my ass tight are having regular meet ups with a woman in my neighborhood to run at 5:30am…otherwise I would not get moving that early on my own! Also, to amp up my mileage I am setting goals and writing down workouts in a running journal. Oh, and I set goals for the New Year to disconnect more from my devices. Every little bit helps!

    1. Hi Jessie, love these ideas! You’re brave to set workout dates at 5:30am. So rad! Happy New Year and good luck achieving all you’re goals in 2016! I’m sure you’ll kill it! xx

  9. Do you have any places in SD for a Pilates studio you recommend? Mine in Carmel Valley just closed and I really want one with great people and positive energy! Pilates is a great ab and butt toner!

    1. Hi Harriet, there are tons of great places. Try Core 40 for group classes, Club Pilates is also a great option! If you’re looking for private lessons, reach out to Cindy Jansen, she’s great! Find her contact info HERE:

  10. I am a huge fan of scheduling my workouts in for everyday so that no matter what I’ll get them in! My schedules hectic too so I go to the gym at 12 and if I am trying to shape up a bit more I do cardio at 8 PM! Love this sports bra I have it in hot pink and love it! Xo C

    1. Hi Courtney, wow twice per day??? That’s amazing! Good for you! How do you stay energized? Tell me your tricks! xx

    1. Hi Tila! I use a Mira! I recently featured it! Here is the post: Happy New Year

  11. I signup for classes ahead of time to keep myself accountable. I have a Classpass account, where I get charged if I miss a class or don’t cancel within 12 hours. I hate wasting money, so I always make it to class when I already have it booked!

    1. Hi Katie! A bunch of my friends have Classpass I’ve heard it’s great. Why do you like it? What kinds of classes are on there? xx

  12. Hello babe!
Looking as small as ever! Honestly! PROPS. Especially during the holidays!

I have my BBG printed and love bringing it with me especially when I travel (which is 3x a month). Pilates is becoming my jam, but I sometimes think I eat too much and need to burn more calories than tone – LOL. #life

Thanks for the sports bra recommendation, needed it.

    You da best,

  13. I love working out with a friend, it makes the time pass quicker so I work out longer!

I’ll be in San Diego in a few weeks, so I’m looking back through your old posts on what to do/see/eat. Thanks for the tips!

  14. I am OBSESSED with barre but feel like I should make a switch or possibly mix two workouts like you do! Have you done barre? Do you prefer Pilates over barre?

Would love to hear your opinion!!

  15. Great write up there Lauryn, but I am also amazed how that combo woks for you, but its a good thing. Working out with friends is yet another thing that I have been so used o that I don’t even know how to do some workouts by myself. Thanks a lot for sharing the post.

  16. I love reading your posts! yes I have to say scheduling does help a lot. I do Pure Barre 3-4 times a week and I’ve downloaded the app to my phone and I go on there and scheduled my workouts for the next 2 weeks and it has in an app thing to save into my calendar and it lets me know 30 minutes in advance. my workout studios has this policy where if you miss a class without canceling 4 hours prior to the start time then it charges me $15.

  17. Hi, thanks for this post. Can you help me to find a quality muay thai gear, maybe you or your friend already use some. Thanks a lot!

    1. Exercise is the miracle cure we’ve always had, but for too long we’ve neglected to take our recommended dose. Our health is now suffering as a consequence.
