Last night we celebrated V-day at the beachfront restaurant, Eddie V’s. I had a 16 vegetable salad, oysters, a lobster taco, & a few bites of boysenberry crumble. Parts of the date were documented with the app, Instagram [ username: LaurynBoBoryn ]. I hope you all enjoyed your holiday & indulged in a couple extra pieces of dark chocolate & a few extra splashes of red wine.
When you wine & dine:
+ So, so important: have something small [ ideas: an apple with peanut butter, hummus & celery, or cottage cheese ] before you eat out. That way, you’re not completely famished.
+ Have a piece of bread [ not ten ] if you don’t, you’ll wind up staring at it all night instead of your date.
+ Order an appetizer first. Eat it. Then decide on an entree choice.
+ Ask for light dressing on salad orders.
+ Order entrees with sauce on the side. Restaurants tend to pile on way too much sauce.
+ For each cocktail/glass of wine, drink a glass of water.
+ For dessert: indulge in a sweet treat- but split it with your date.
