Why Organic?

Recently I sat down with Jake Moss, owner of U Grow Organics. His company teaches people how to maintain & grow organic vegetables from home. I was captivated with curiously when he walked me through his personal garden; I was able to taste the freshest Spanish kale, softest spinach, & mouthwatering chard directly from the root. The difference in quality between store-bought, non-organic vegetables vs. his organic garden was astronomical. When in doubt, choose fabulous organic veggies!

Why?

+ Organic foods are higher in antioxidants & nutrients than non-organic.

+ They contain no pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. No one wants their food covered in chemicals!

+ They have no disgusting antibiotics. Organic farmers rely on natural measures.

+ No GMOs: Genetically engineered crops have potential to devastate the ecosystem, & eventually humans and animals.

  1. When I think of organic, I think of wholesome and pure. Yes, it costs more to buy organic, but if you want the best for yourself and your family, then it is definitely the way to go.

  2. Lauryn, do you have a recipe for Jake’s lettuce wrapped tacos? They look so good but I have no idea what half those veggies are. 🙂
