The importance of organic veggies has been instilled into me since I was a little girl. For information [ that will shock you ] on the difference between non organic and organic, check out this website. After a Monday filled with teaching Pure Barre, I ran by the grocery store to buy some supplies to concoct the perfect organic turkey taco salad with all the right chopped vegetables. I needed protein after teaching three hours of the workout & taking a class. This recipe was quick to make, surprisingly filling & ideal for a post-workout meal!

* Makes two plates of salad/about 300 calories per serving.
1 container organic ground turkey meat
1 bag of fresh lettuce [ any kind of lettuce leaves work ]
1 tomato
1 handful of LITE cheddar cheese
2 garlic cloves
1/2 avocado
1/2 green bell pepper [ chopped ]
1/2 red bell pepper [ chopped ]
1 lemon
1/2 lime
4 leaves chopped cilantro
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Taco Seasoning [ Trader Joe’s all natural ingredient seasoning is best ]
Splash of Chula [ optional ]
Pre chop bell pepper, avocado, tomato, garlic and cilantro [ finely chop this ]. Pour extra virgin olive oil in pan. Add turkey in to pan. Cook for about 8 to 10 minutes, add a few dashes of seasoning. While turkey is cooking prepare 2 plates with lettuce, on top of this add all chopped ingredients. Squeeze a little lemon and lime on top of it. Add cooked turkey on top and a dash of Chula. Add a Corona Light for an added touch!
I left a reply, it is gone:(..made salad tonight and all that had it said “I should open a restaurant?”
This sounds and looks delicious!!
“Organic veggies: free of chemicals”
Incorrect. They are free of additional chemicals, but the plant makes its own pesticides and insecticides
