When we went to Thailand, we had THE BEST DAMN smoothies.
I attribute this to their wide selection of fruits & delicious coconut milk.
So when I came back from Asia, I was kind of searching for a smoothie with a bit more of an OOMPH. I mean, I love a good strawberry, banana, almond milk smoothie any day, but if we’re being honest it’s kind of a basic smoothie…so duh, no surprise I had to whip up something new & fresh. Introducing this new TSC-approved, tasty smoothie BOWL.
Firstly, this little number is filled with superfoods. LIKE FILLEDDDD.
Think: mango, strawberries, coconut milk, chia seeds, a little chocolate, AND these badass little smoothie packs, made by ALOHA, that I recently discovered ( << get excited ).
This one is the berry packet & it includes: blueberries, pear, peas, raspberries, spinach, mooring, spiralina, king trumpet mushrooms, Himalayan pink salt, lemon, Hawaiian yellow ginger…aka two to three serving of fruits/vegetables.
These are perfect for a little smoothie kick, especially for people who are busy. Plus you can throw these little adorable ALOHA packets in your handbag & add them to water/smoothies/juices when you’re on the go. YESSSssss.
Ok so recipe time:
1 handful of mango
1 handful of strawberries
1 cup of coconut milk ( << my fav!)
2 scoops of chia seeds
1 packet of ALOHA’s berry superfood
3 sprinkles of turmeric (<< endless benefits!)
1 handful of ice
Garnish: superfood chocolate shreds & fresh mint
Directions: blend everything besides chocolate shreds together. Pour everything into a bowl. Top with mint & grated chocolate ( I use a mini cheese grater for this ). Eat with a spoon.
I feel like this smoothie bowl just brings me back to Thailand & I’m basically sitting on the beach, with limited Internet thinking about the day’s pressing decisions: should I go kayaking? Does the jacuzzi or the pool sound more relaxing? Coconut water or mojito? What time should I schedule tomorrow’s deep tissue? Mango smoothie or mango sticky rice?
Super, super pressing decisions.
Anyway, for now I’ll have to just drink my tropical mouth party & close my eyes.
MMMMmmmmm.
Ok, so what is your favorite smoothie addition that’s kind of weird & different? Share something that’s super outside the norm? Please!! The more ideas, the better.

That looks great!! I wish they sent ALOHA to Israel 🙁
Been following TSC for about a year now, finally commenting. This aloha smoothie supplement looks fantastic, thanks for sharing! You could also add ground flax seeds to smoothies – it’s super healthy.
Yum yum yum! This looks delicious!!! We do have a ton of delicious smoothies lining all of our street corners and the Thais love them except a lot of time they add tons of SUGAR so I always have to make sure they don’t go overload on condensed milk and sugar but other than that they are the best! Thanks for sharing this bowl recipe!! xo C
I tend to throw anything into my smoothies. Kale, even potato skins. I know, I know and they look green all the time. Perhaps I should follow things like this post!
Oh my goodness I need to get that! YUM xx

MATCHA!! its like green tea on crack. SOOO many antioxidants and gives you all natural energy, the list just goes on – just make sure it is a good organic quality there is some research issues on sourcing for a few brands!
I also love adding green powder for added greens, I love Abundant Greens off of amazon! I actually prefer it over Aloha – which I tried and loved but found this was better because I could change my smoothie flavors easier – it has Organic Moringa Oleifera Leaf (from the Miracle Tree of the Himalayas), Organic Wheatgrass, Organic Spirulina Platensis, Organic Chlorella (cold cracked cell wall), Organic Alfalfa, and just a touch of Organic Stevia Leaf – according to the package.
hemp protein from nutiva – only one ingredient = LOVE
other than that raw Maca or Cacao from navitas! and chia. duh. whats a smoothie without chia?

p.s. my friends have been raving about pitaya packets but I have not tried them yet! – check out my friend @leefromamerica on insta… you will be obsessed.. she does all raw whole food smoothie bowls and is always raving about pitaya!
So… I’ll definitely have to pick up some ALOHA. But also, I’m obsessed with the rose bowl you have in the post! I wish you had a direct link for that! I just love floral! haha!
This looks amazing Lauren, will have to give it a go. Thanks for sharing.
This looks amazing. I wish I could make smoothies in the morning but I’m the first one to wake and go to work so the blender is way too loud. But I always stop at the juice bar before going into work so those Aloha packs actually sound like a great idea!!

I love ALOHA’s products!!
Those bowls are adorable! I love smoothie bowls, it tricks me into thinking I am having ice cream for breakfast. 🙂 I will def check out these products. I haven’t heard of them but love how jam-packed they are with everything. My favourite weird topping is chaga!!! Have you had it? They’re magical mushrooms… well, not those, but you get it. Magical because it is FULL of antioxidants (more than acai), and just awesome for your body and immune system with awesome anti-aging properties and blood sugar stabilization. You should check it out, it is seriously right up your alley! I was discovered it via Juice Shop – that’s the name – in SF. They did a sprouted almond cacao milk with chaga and it was incredible.
PS – HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Have a great one, and may this be your best year yet! xx
This looks so good! The combination of mango & strawberries sound divine!

This looks tasty! I got a sample of Aloha once and want to get some more.. Time to save 😛
Sweet jesus this looks amazing.
I’m pretty bored of my go to banana/berry combos. Think it’s time to evolve.

Love this and LOVE Native Forest coconut milk – but did you know that the only difference between the “Light” and full fat coconut milk is that water is added to the light version? I always just buy the full fat version and dilute it with water when I use it 🙂
Hope you’re feeling better, pretty. xo
