Hi! We’re Karena and Katrina from Tone It Up! We’re best friends, business partners and we live in Manhattan Beach, California. We started just the two of us, hoping to inspire other people to workout, be healthier and to reach all of their goals and aspirations.

Toned Up is a docu-series on Bravo! TV about our lives as best friends and business partners. The best part about Bravo! is that they let us just be ourselves and carry on business as usual. You’re able to see our home lives, work lives and the challenges we face with each other building our business one lunge at a time!

| Best kept healthy secret? |

BUDDY SYSTEM! Is that a secret? Ha ha. We swear by having each other to workout and keep each other accountable. Our community is much like that, where if you check in, you immediately get a surge of motivation & support from other women.

| Weekly workout schedule? |

We post our workout schedule every Sunday on Tone It Up! We like to do total body toning a couple times a week, cardio almost every day ( active rest days are walking, hiking or yoga, so it’s part of our lifestyle ) & we like to focus on body parts like arms, abs and booty at least once a week. You’ll see our weekly schedule here!

| Let’s talk protein powder— I heard your brand is amazing ( & I’m a picky bitch!! ). Tell us about it |

That’s great! All of our brand awareness is by word of mouth, so it means a lot that you already heard it’s amazing. Perfect Fit is our nutrition brand that includes our organic, gluten-free protein powder that is great for smoothies, baking and as a post workout recovery meal. It comes in chocolate or vanilla. | How do you balance your booming business with health & fitness? |

It’s an every day lesson. We know that if it doesn’t happen in the morning… it won’t happen easily later in the day! Most days we do cardio first thing in the morning around 5:30 or 6 AM & toning whenever we can fit it in later in the evening. We also make sure our weekends are really active, so we’ll go on long bike rides, hikes, we’ll try new yoga classes or just go out dancing!

We love our wine, but a great minty mojito is perfection ; ).

| WTF’s in your bag? |

We always keep two pairs of socks and headphones in our bag… just in case! Those are the two most forgotten items in our gym bag. You’ll also find yoga pants, a good sports bra, a tank top, Perfect Fit Protein on-the-go packet, & lip balm! We also have an extra face wash & make-up bag so we don’t have to pack, unpack and re-pack.

Lately we’ve also been obsessing over dry shampoo and illuminator face lotions. Both will turn any sweaty mess into a glowing, fresh, ready-for-the-day girl.

Coconut oil! We love it in our hair, on our skin and for cooking 🙂 It’s an amazing superfood with tons of superpowers!

We LOVE cats! A couple of months ago, Katrina pointed out to me that my cat, Monkey, was getting a little chunky. A plump cat may look cute-– but a few extra pounds on your cat are really a weighty issue. We’ve teamed up with Purina Cat Chow to encourage all cat people to take the “Why Weight?” Pledge.
