The Skinny Confidential Team’s August Favorites

The Skinny Confidential Team’s August Favorites

We’re back again for this month’s TSC team August roundup.

Let’s just get right into it with our Amazon must-haves for last month, and if you have yet to scope the previous faves, check them out here.

Happy shopping!

The Skinny Confidential Team’s August Favorites:

lip cheat

Lauryn: You’ve heard me say it before, but this Charlotte Tilbury lip cheat is a shade that look good on everyone. Charlotte really nailed it with this lip liner and the Pillow Talk lipstick. You can read more here, but just trust me, you need to add this to your makeup bag.

cat eye sunglasses

Hilary: For months I’ve been eyeing the YSL cat eyes, and when I finally got to Nordstrom to try them on (and fell over because I was in love), I just couldn’t bite the bullet & spend $$$ on something that might just be trendy. A friend told me about these dupes & I really like them. Sure, the YSL ones are AH-MAZING, and these Amazon one are just ‘pretty good’ (and not exactly the same), but I wear them a lot, they’re comfy & I highly recommend them if you’re looking for some fun new sunnies.

black blouse

Katie: I got this button up blouse in a medium and it’s the PERFECT oversized fit. I toss this over a workout outfit to jazz up the athleisure a bit, or I throw it over a crop top and with a pair of jeans for a cute light layer for a night out. The material isn’t too structured, but doesn’t wrinkle either – it’s perfect. Got it in the camel and black colors. OBSESSED!

What Happened to You? book

Holly: I’ve spent the last month listening to this book read by the authors, Oprah Winfrey and Bruce D. Perry, MD, Ph.D, on Audible. I cannot tell you the amount of times I’ve had to stop what I was doing to rewind, bookmark, take notes, and text my friends about what I learned through each chapter. This book dives into the experiences we go through in childhood that forever shape the way we view and interact with the world. It has become a companion to me in my therapy journey. I honestly can say I learned so much about myself and other people while reading the real life scenarios shared in the book. Not only is it incredibly validating of the human experience, it provides awareness that educates the reader on how to move forward. This book is hands down my number one book recommendation of the year!

OUAI hair mask

Lainey: I’ve been obsessed with OUAI since the very first time I tried it. I have extremely fine hair and it’s so hard to find a haircare brand that doesn’t weigh down my hair and make it look super flat, greasy and just not cute. This mask is super hydrating but also doesn’t make my hair look greasy after I use it (which has been a problem my whole life). I’m obsessed with all of the OUAI products made for fine hair- plus all of their products literally smell amazing. 10000/10 recommend this mask to anybody with thin, bone straight hair who can’t seem to find a product that helps.

salad chopper

Parker: This is a game changer for your salads. Chops everything quickly & efficiently and makes it feel like you just got a bougie salad at an expensive restaurant — but without the cost. It’s one of those little luxuries that elevates your day.

foot resting pillow

Oliver: This is very comfortable and helps relax my feet when working.  It works best for an at home set-up.

TheraICE Gel Ice Headache Relief Hat

Hailey: I just had jaw surgery and was not able to chew for 3 months (insane I know), so now that I can chew again, my head muscles are super tight all the time. This lovely cold cap helps relieve the pain and also helps when I have one too many beveraginos the night before. You only need to put it in the freezer for an hour which is amazing and it stays cold for a while too. I love to pair it with my HOT MESS fresh from the freezer to then relieve my jaw pain. HIGHLY recommend for migraine / headache folks out there.

scalp massager

Lindsay: Working at The Skinny Confidential has made me continuously look for ways to optimize my beauty routine. In the shower, I’ve recently been really into using this manual scalp massager to exfoliate AND massage my scalp!  Plus, it has over 124K reviews on Amazon, so it’s a fan fave!

The Defined Dish cookbook

Victoria: I’ve recently been trying to eat out less, eat healthier, and cook more at home. This recipe book is filled with easy and delicious recipes. I love it and highly recommend! 10/10.

Supergoop spf

Lanina: This has been my go-to sunscreen for awhile now! It’s lightweight, goes on smoothly & doesn’t have that strong sunscreen smell. Def worth the hype.

moon lamp

George: I bought this a while ago, and Lauryn liked it so much she bought it too. It’s very cool for a bedroom.

That’s it for this month. Until next time, be sure to check out our Amazon store. Consider it always new & improved.
