After reading an article on tea in SELF magazine, I had to share my discoveries. My nightly cup of tea is totally something I look forward to after a day full errands, work & fitness. Tea’s such an amazing alternative to coffee & usually brews up plenty of benefits. My obsession? Green Tea Tropical by Mighty Leaf.

+ Black Tea: Known to provide slimming effects. Prevents body from absorbing fat from food. Drink it plain with no milk to gain the benefits.

+ Chamomile Tea: This acts as an antihistamine & calms allergies.

+ Green Tea: May help protect against skin cancer. Contains plenty of antioxidants too.

+ Peppermint Tea: Pumps up work-outs. This also works for upset stomaches

+ Rooibus Tea:  Lowers cholesterol.

+ Sleepytime Tea [ option: w/ or w/o throat tamer ]: Helps soothe the body and promotes relaxation.

I luv sleepy time tea…but I like honey in my tea; does that contain too much sugar? Is that why you suggested the Truvia?

I have this year started switching from coffee to tea full time. I haven’t had coffee in ages and I am feeling great with the switch! I LOVE Sleepytime Tea. I drink Sleepytime Vanilla and the warm cup of tea gets me ready for bed in no time. I am a full convert. Thanks for sharing the good word!

Thank you for posting these suggestions. I’m finally becoming a tea lover.

I love Sleepy Time Vanilla by Celestial Seasonings. And am now obsessed with the Vanilla Rooibos at Starubucks.

Looking forward to trying more of your suggestions 🙂

I personally am a standard black tea girl. It’s just in general is a nice staple – it actually prevents high cholesteral and high blood pressure problems – also preventing the accumulation of body fat. That “refresh” by tazo is amazing though .

Sleepytime tea is wonderful!!! Thank you for the other tea suggestions. I usually prefer loose-leaf tea, but have been trying out more and more bag versions these days.
