A total natural beauty, right?!

Obviously I was excited to interview supermodel Lauren Hastings- like, she’s seriously got it going on.

She just seems like a rad-ass chick.

She’s also effortlessly cool ( obviously ), beautiful, & super sweet. And big plus: she’s a fan of my two staples: avocados & red wine ( << antioxidants!! ).

Ok, meet Miss Lauren Hastings:

+ Tell us about yourself.

Lauren Hastings: I was born in San Jose, California & grew up in Clovis, California. I entered a modeling contest at twelve in my local mall & won; from there I went to ‘The Modeling Expo’ and signed with Ford Models at the age of twelve.

I’ve been working as a model ever since. I’ve lived in LA for over ten years now. I also do commercials, film, & TV.

+ Quick skinny tips or tricks?

LH: There isn’t really an overnight quick fix it all. I drink lots of water. I eat small meals through out the day & try not to eat four hours before I go to bed.

If I’m shooting bikinis a few days before I’ll replace my lunch or dinner with a shake. Apple, strawberry, coconut juice with ground up almonds & bananas.

+ What is your weekly workout schedule?

LH: I’m a runner! I usually go to the gym three to four times a week. And I run between four & five miles each time. I also have eight pound weights at home that I use everyday to keep my arms toned. And hiking— I love to hike!

+ What is your favorite go-to healthy food?

LH: Avocado. The snack is amazing just by itself with a little ‘Super Lite Sesame Ginger Dressing’ & ground up chili flakes/sea salt on crackers or toast.

+ Cocktail of choice?

LH: Red Wine ; ).

+ Can’t-live-without beauty product?

LH: My concealer by Fresh, brown eyeshadow, rose water spray, & my hair colorist, Rebecca Freeman at Goodform Salon.

+ Natural beauty remedy that you do?

LH: I eat strawberries to temporarily whiten my teeth. Always eat them in set for photo shoots.

+ When I wake up I…

LH: I immediately get in my car & drive to Joan’s on Third to get my iced soy latte then turn the radio or my iPod on as loud as it will go!

+ What’s in your purse?

LH: Floss, sunglasses by Oliver Peoples, pressed powder compact ( only use it for a mirror ), gum, Smith’s Rosebud Balm, Mason Pearson Comb, an asthma inhaler, my Goyard wallet, hair ties, pens, & incense matches.

+ My naughty indulgence is…

LH: Chocolate covered strawberries!

+ Five picks you’re loving for winter:

1.} Python boots

+ Quick, easy (healthy) recipe?

LH: Green beans, mushrooms, yellow squash, green squash, haricot vert, Shiitake mushrooms, & corn. Chop it all up. Add it to a pan with olive oil, a little butter, salt, & pepper. Enjoy!
