Halloween Spider Pumpkin Muffins

The smell, taste and look of pumpkins represent autumn. I love adhering to seasonal recipes, so these particular low calorie pumpkin muffins [ about 90 calories a muffin ] were a delicious portrayal of fall. I made these over the weekend for my neighbors and friends with many requests for ‘seconds’. These spider pumpkin muffins came out warm, tender not too sweet. They also were the perfect complement to my cup of nightly green tea.

When the recipe says to mix the dry ingredients together, does that include the sugar? Sugar is usually considered a wet ingredient and it is creamed together with the butter, but there’s no butter in this recipe. So would I add it to th wet or dry ingredients?
