Meet the fabulous fashion blogger, Lisa Price. This girl knows her couture, her skinny tips & beauty secrets!

+ Tell us about yourself and your blog.

I’m 22 years old, born and raised in San Diego. I have a slight infatuation with the world of luxury- fur, jewels, Manolos, I love it all. I created my blog, LisaPriceInc., so I could give others a peek into a diva-esque world. LisaPriceInc. is heavily based around high fashion [ Vogue is my bible ], but along down my runway comes postings on fabulous hot spots, chic events & always a handful of personal notes [ a.k.a sassy rants ].

Lisa Price and Lauryn Evarts collaborate on skinny tips and fashion blogging.

+ Quick skinny tips or tricks?

Filling up on the fruits and veggies in your meal is the best advice I’ve ever gotten! I know I sound like a mom, but seriously…eat those first & then move on if you are still hungry. Chances are you will not want the bread when you’re full from a salad- which then saves a few calories to spare for a Sprinkles cupcake [ to share ]. Also, I have a new mantra for this new year; I actually read it out of SELF magazine- “Sweat is fat crying.” I think it’s an absolutely brilliant statement & it’s motivated me to sweat through work outs by making fat my victim. Pushing yourself through your work outs not only creates results faster but it also shortens the duration. I’d so much rather work out hard for an hour & pop a bottle of champagne with friends than stay at the gym all night half-assing.

+ Weekly workout schedule?

I take yoga classes at Sculpt Fusion Yoga six days a week. I’ve never gotten a better work out than at this studio – the sculpt classes are super intense! I mix it up by taking a couple “yoga for athletes” in between my days of “sculpt” to internally strengthen and stretch out my muscles – it’s so needed after a butt-kicking work out the day before! I get in most of my weekly cardio during these hour long classes, but I do also try to get in a couple hours of cardio a week [ three to five hours usually ] either hiking Torrey Pines or at the gym [ spin class or ellipticalizing are my specialty, I’m a terrible runner! ].

+ Favorite go-to healthy food?

I love to snack on kale chips when I need a crunchy, yet guilt-free fix & I also love to munch on cold berries, pomegranate seeds, & little Cuties [ clementines ]. I would eat huge salads for every meal if I could – the salads from Urban Plates are my absolute favorite! My usuals are the Mediterranean Mix Up and the Urban Grove Antioxidant. I tried the Raw Kale Salad and was actually really impressed – the organic tofu [ included in the salad ] can be thrown into any of the other salads too as an addition or in place of a meat. The salads are definitely large though, so portion control should be kept in mind, I immediately request a to-go box with my salad if I’m going for lunch so I do not overdue it mid-day.

+ Cocktail of choice?

Pass the bubbly, I’m all for a flute [ or few ] of crisp champagne or sparkling rosé. It never fails to get me on a good one after a couple sips & I rarely ever feel bloated or have dry skin the next day from it. I actually tried an amazing cocktail with the key ingredient being champagne at Mr. A’s a couple months ago that I’m absolutely obsessed with. It’s called the French 76 – 1/2 oz lemon juice, 1 oz gin, 1/2 oz Cointreau, and Champagne – a must try!

+ Favorite beauty product?

I am a slave for La Mer, it’s certainly expensive, but I reason the price with being able to postpone any cosmetic work for at least five years longer than going without it. Also, Kiehl’s makes great cleansing face products [ & very inexpensive ]- I love to steal my boyfriend’s toner whenever I can- I swear, it takes off make-up better than any women’s product out there!

+ Natural beauty remedy you recommend?

Whenever I feel that my skin is dull from a night of “celebrating” or dry weather, I always whip up this really fast mask to replenish & give my cheeks their natural glow back: 2/3 cup of fresh, mashed papaya, 15 ounce can of pumpkin puree, 1 egg [ beaten ]. Just leave on for however long you have time to kill for [ recommended: 30 minutes ] & it seriously works wonders.

+ Motivation to stay in shape?

Other than the obvious [ & most important ] reason being health, my motivation is fashion – it’s so much more fun to wear incredible pieces when I am toned and physically at my best. Not only does clothing fit better, but I feel SO much better in it. I mean, what goes better with a pair of red-soled Louboutins than a pair of sculpted legs & a confident strut?

Thanks to Lisa for sharing her fab skinny tips. Check out my interview on her blog [ found here ]!
