Boy oh boy do I have a little trick for you guys.

We’re going to have some fun, k?

SANGRIA x 3234208.

And not just any sangria. This particular one is FILLED with antioxidants & goodness like HERB, fruit ice cubes.

You should know, I’ve always envisioned myself sipping wine & feeling really good about it because it’s…healthy. Because antioxidants, herbs, & fruit equal healthy in my book. Dreams do come true.

Firstly, do yourself a favor & sass up your sangria with these ideal ice cubes holders.

SEX KITTEN ICE CUBES

1 handful of fresh herbs ( I like mint or basil for this one )
5 organic strawberries, sliced
1 Meyer lemon
1 orange
1 bottle of Eppa Sangria ( I used red! White works well too )

+ directions: grab an ice tray. Squeeze a bunch of lemon & orange in trays. Slice strawberries & cut up mint. Add to trays. Freeze. Leave in the freezer for about 6 to 8 hours. Once frozen add to glass. Pour sangria over herb/fruit infused iced cubes. Garnish with a mint leaf. Cheers!

+ You’ll need an ice cube tray ( get cute and look for ice cream shaped or heart trays ).

I’ve blogged about this sangria before & here’s the thing: the reason I like it is because 1.) it’s twist off ( be honest, you know it’s more convenient than ruining your manicure with a wine cork ), 2.) it’s made with organic superfruit juices PLUS organically grown grapes, & 3.) it contains nearly TWICE ( YES TWICE ) the antioxidants as red wine.

As if we needed ANOTHER reason to get buzzed.

Anyway, I put together a little video of the whole fun process & I can assure you when making this video, sangria was involved.

For the record if you don’t know what sangria is, get on board! It’s “a beverage, common in Spain & Portugal. It normally consists of red wine, chopped fruit, a sweetener, and a small amount of brandy. Chopped fruit can include orange, lemon, lime, apple, peach, melon, berries, pineapple, grape, kiwifruit and mango.”

SO !!! If you’re not feeling the fruits I added, get crazy. Any fruit can be added to the beverage. That’s right, whatever your heart desires. Pile in anything & everything.

Next time I’m FOR SURE trying blended mango ice cubes……..YUMMMM.

Well that’s all I have for you today!

I’m off to watch a movie with Michael ( any recommendations? We’re looking for something scary but actually scary ) & it sounds like sangria is on the menu tomorrow?

Chilled. On the rocks. With a little mint. Can you tell I’m excited?

Cheers! x

Yum! This sounds soooo so good – I was just reading about champagne ice cubes the other day to spice up a drink. This Sangria sounds right up my alley and now that it is about to be summer here in SF (literally our hot months are September & October), the timing is perf!! Plus, don’t forget red wine grapes are full of reservatrol 😉 😉

As far as a movie recc, may I suggest Irreversible? It’s super, super, super, super fucked up and the bad scenes are extremely uncomfortably graphic, but it’s a movie that has stuck with me forever. Scary in a whole different way! Another one that has stuck with me was Saw V, I thought it had the best “moral of the story” out of all the franchise… but I’ll admit, I close my eyes on the, um, scenes. Let us know what you end up choosing!

PS – off to LA this weekend, any must do reccs? xx Shannon
