I am big fan of bars.
Blow dry bars, barre fitness, happy hour bars, Lara bars…you get my drift.
So when my GF, Kristen opened a makeup bar, I was pret-tay excited. I mean, makeup + wine + my friends?
Rock & Royal Makeup Studio in La Jolla is built around the idea of a flat-rate makeup service ( meaning you don’t have to purchase any product…cha-ching! ). They use GloMinerals Cosmetics which are gluten free & paraben free. So there’s no sicko chemicals on your pretty little face. The team is available to do makeup at any venue, home, hotel, wedding, photo shoots- you name it.
Here’s the thing. I’m a picky bitch. I like my MU the way I like it.
Glowy, natural, dewy, sun-kissed…ya know?
Totally not a fan of pounding makeup on my face. In fact…I don’t really like eye shadow ( gasp!!! ).
Really. This isn’t the 80’s. So I was stoked when Kristen did exactly what I asked for.
Next time you’re in the area check this place out- it’s the bomb.com.

P.S. To book, e-mail Info@RockandRoyalMakeupStudio.com. Also, if you mention you’re a SConf reader Kristen will give you free lashes or $20 off a MU lesson {!!!}.
You look beautiful! What is your go-to natural, sunkissed make-up routine? I’d love to know which cosmetics you use everyday to get your glow

I’m sorry, WHAT?! This is absolutely the coolest thing ever. Sounds like the perfect place for a girls’ night out.
Happened upon your blog from Mom Wife Boss Life. I’m a new follower who’s hoping a makeup bar opens in Kansas City. 🙂
Awesome!!!!!!!
What an awesome idea! I’m the same way, looove makeup but hardly ever wear eye shadow. They did a great job! You look gorgeous.
