Pink Himalayan salt is an old fart.
Why?
Because it’s over 250 million years old.
Meaning the crystals come from the earth instead of being processed & full of chemicals.
Some of the magical benefits:
1.} It regulates water throughout the body.
2.} Promotes a happy, healthy pH balance in your cells & brain cells.
3.} This specific salt reduces signs of aging. Well, hell. I’m in.
4.} It helps absorb particles through your intestinal tract.
5.} Promotes sinus, respiratory, & vascular health.
6.} Increases the libido. Oh, la, la. Sex kitten time.
7.} Promotes a natural, well-rested sleep. ZZZzzzz.
8.} And lastly, the salt crystals help to regulate blood pressure.
Salt is rad.
Back in the day it was used as a currency $$$!
But I mean, really. It’s essential- you can’t live without it.
So know your freaking salt.
There’s a big fat difference between regular, refined table salt & pink Himalayan salt crystals.
I don’t even keep table salt in my house anymore. Now that I’m used to cooler, healthy salt, I don’t crave the crappy, crap salt.
Overall these crystals are absolutely healthier than the butthole table salts because they don’t contain toxins.
Fun stuff.

Do you use this in replace of regular table salt? What do you put it on? Veggies?
What do you do with it?
Add it to eggs, veggies, meats, baking, anything!!! Just make sure you use it in a pepper grinder :-)! X.
Just found some of this in the back of my cupboard and started using it today! It’s already traded places with the sea salt!
Where do you get your iodine from now?
If you eat any processed food it most likely contains salt and that of the crappy crap variety, which will include iodine.
Tuna fish 🙂 xoxo
Thanks Lauryn! I really want to try this, hopefully I can find it…is there a specific recipe you think this salt works really well with? I normally don’t eat salt at all??
The only problem is that table salt is iodized and iodine is an essential micronutrient to our bodies that is hard to get in other places. Iodine deficiency is actually a serious issue throughout the rest of the world and iodizing salt has been essential in preventing it and the problems that arise with it (ex: mental retardation, thyroid problems, etc).
Most people who eat out or use iodized salt in baking, cooking, etc will probably be fine if they switch their table salt to whatever other salt, since restaurants often use table salt. I also think other salts taste better than iodized salt. But don’t nix iodized salt completely or paint it as the devil- it has been an important part of improving global health and even improving our hormone regulation and IQ as a whole.

This is so well-stated, I was just thinking this! Iodine is important to get in our diets, so some table salt is OK.
I saw this in Costco and wasn’t sure if it was like “normal” salt. I’ll make sure to pick it up on my next trip there.
This sounds amazing! I need to get some asap 😉 What great benefits too!
This is the ONLY salt I use! My brother told me about it and all the good stuff it does and how the regualr salt is bad, which I already knew, and had already removed from my diet. He then told me that I probably wasn’t getting enough salk in my diet because I had nixed all forms of it from my diet. Tried it and havent’t gone back! LOVE THIS!
Loooove Pink Salt <3
Was in doubt if I should actually get this salt, but you have just sold it to! and it’s pink!!
Teffy Xx
I LOVE pink himalayan salt and use it for absolutely everything (cooking, baking, etc). I think its also worth mentioning that since the salt is often imported from underdeveloped countries its important to make sure that its clearly labeled as Fair Trade. 🙂
Love this tip! Thanks Andy <3 : ))).
Oh wow, I had some pink salt sent to me to review and I just thought it was pretty – I had no idea how many benefits it had!! Thanks for sharing this =)
Pink salt in addition to it’s health benefits can remove negativity in a house or a room when it is put into a bowl and left open in a room.
love love LOVE himalayan salt!
just found some in a SHAKER (pre-ground) at home goods! and they also had a ton of other pink salt options including ones already in grinders!!

I love Himalayan salt, you can get the lamps on http://www.gwazoo.com, you can get credit for stuff you buy too!
I’m a super fan of Pink Himalayan Salt too. I love your idea here that it reduces signs of aging and that is because it detox your body from the inside up to the outside, it moisturizes, and soften your skin with its natural ingredients. To find out it by yourself, consider trying it from here, https://pinkdetox.com/collections/frontpage/products/double-pack-detox-formula-flower-bomb-equals-4-baths.
It needs to be unrefined (refined is still better than table salt though)
