No fun, especially when I focus so much on wellness & health. The past month I’ve really been looking to find more natural products to incorporate into my routine…but I wanted something that would make my hair smoother & help with hydration. Something that isn’t full of chemicals…but something that gets the job done you know?
When Kérastase invited me to try their Aura Botanica line of products, I WAS GAME. Even more so because the line is of natural origin. Yes that’s right, it’s filled with so much goodness like Samoan coconut & Moroccan Argan oils (see my obsession with oils getting deeper? Because I can’t stop ) & products in the collection also include avocado oil, jojoba oil, sweet orange essential oil, rosemary extract, & rose floral water. Kérastase’s Aura Botanica products are hand-picked, responsibly sourced with NO silicones, NO sulfates, & NO parabens.
YES PLZ, JUST how I prefer it.
I arrived at the salon, Evian in La Jolla with my hair QUITE dirty. Like dirty as in I had not washed it for…about a week & …
We recapped PART I & PART II…so now PART III. Bear with me there’s a lot- & again, I don’t want to do 38723984732 gazillion posts, you know? Slow & steady is the theme here.
With that, I’ll get right to it.
After the ceremony was over, everyone went up onto a grassy area ( NO FEAR THOUGH, we had Solemates aka high heel protectors for our heels! ). Dean Martin was playing while everyone kind of mingled. We took a bunch of absurd group photos. Nothing serious for this group- everyone was trying to do the mannequin challenge but the Karma tequila was flowing sooooo it didn’t quite get there. HA.
Afterwards we had all the guests sit down at ONE, LONG table. Another tip: ditch the round tables if you have a small wedding. Reason being, one long table is so fun. It’s kind of medieval feeling. I choose all black for the wedding. No white. We did long black feathers, black huge plates, napkins, candles ( different heights, of course! ), black shot glasses, HUGE-ASS balloons covered in black tulle, gold silverware, & TONS of black callilies from Arete Florals.
Oh me, oh my. If you’re like me you have a little something called TECH NECK.
Never heard of it? Well, it’s real. And the struggle is REAL, real.
So many women forget that the first place we age is the neck. And guess what? The cell phone sitch is REALLY not helping. I mean it’s making it so much worse than it has to be, you know? Now instead of being hunched over the computer like The Hunchback of Notre Dame, we’re crouched over our cell phones. All of us.
Like SELF Magazine says, “carpal tunnel is SO five years ago.”
So ya, now TECH NECK is everywhere.
What exactly is it?
According to Florida chiropractor Dean L. Fishman, D.C.: “it’s an overuse syndrome or a repetitive stress injury, where you have your head hung forward and down looking at your mobile device for extended periods of time,” he explains. “Don’t get me wrong: I love technology, but this is a global epidemic not just from texting, but from using all sorts of wireless media.”
Well, UGH. Another day, another discovery.
Sometimes TECH NECK will give headaches, shoulder/neck pain, & increased curvature in the spine.

FINALLY. The latest installment of the new MEAL PLAN HAS DROPPED.
Super jazzed about this one because the whole seven days are about eliminating bloat. So, so many recipes that are so quick, easy, AND anti-inflammatory.
Because remember this quote? It’s an oldie but goodie:
“LET FOOD BE THY MEDICINE AND MEDICINE BE THY FOOD.”
If you follow along on Snapchat you know we’ve busting ass for this one. It had to be just right. I’ve taste-tested all of these 5 second recipes a gazillion times & been taking notes like a psycho for the past months…notes on all my HACKS.
HACKS are what it’s really all about, right?
Easy, quick, efficient.
Ahhhh, I just love those words..
This one’s straight & to the point. I’m a creature of habit and eat a lot of the same things day after day so this MEAL PLAN is nothing fancy, k? In fact, IT’S ALMOST TOO SIMPLE.
Like I’ve said before: This is a PLAN that works for me.
I am not a doctor.
I am not a scientist.
I am not a body builder.
I’m just a regular girl who’s VERY interested in wellness.
