But when it comes to packing, let’s be honest: it’s a bitch.

I F-ing hate it.

Like, more than anything.

I’m a total scattered, packing weirdo/freak. Shit’s all over the floor…& it since I’m an OCD, psycho neat freak, it gives me severe anxiety.

Anyway on that fun note, check out my essentials!

I hate hate hate packing too so I have bit the bullet and bought doubles of the essentials and always have a makeup + toiletries bag packed up for travelling. I have a boyf who I’m doing LDR for the next 6 months or so (which I kind of have grown to love – quality >>>>> quantity) so I always have my essentials packed up since Im off to see him once a week or so (4 hrs away). SO worth it to only have to pack outfits + workout gear!

Also I know you’re super into being vegan 80% of the time, but any thoughts on eating Paleo?

PS – dying for a boyfriend tag youtube vid w Michael!

I’ve been on like 20 airplanes in the last couple years. I roll everything, and I try and pack light but I still can’t. I don’t think anyone can! I never wear half of what I bring… Oh well, c’est la vie!

If I’m somewhere for a few weeks, I also just buy body wash and shampoo when I’m there – saves on weight at check in!

ps. How is Beautiful Ruins? It’s waiting to be read on my kindle!

I am absolutely terrible at packing and hate it. I always take too much, but manage to forget a few essentials. This is really helpful!!

I guess we all are sailing in the same boat. Packing is something i always stay away from. Wish i had a butler only for that. Unfortunately, i cannot afford it so the things i always have in my holiday suitcase are Shades / Sunglasses, Vaseline pot, Hand Sanitizer, Shampoo&Conditioner, Dettol soap, Jeans, Tees, Watch and a pair of flat and heels. These are just few items. You should see my suitcase when it is full (God help me)

Tom Ford’s Black Orchid is definitely one of my must haves! Been wearing that scent for years. I also have to have: extra undies, larabars, EOS lip balm, sunscreen, hair ties, and LB State baseball cap.

Oh how I can stressed out about packing too. But, at least it’s for fun most of the time?!
I read Beautiful Ruins this summer – one of the best book I’ve read in a long while. Enjoy!

I am pretty OCD as well, and I am a crazy planner too. I list out everything I want to bring, and then narrow it down to what I absolutely need because I am the QUEEN of overpacking. My boyfriend makes fun of me because I bring a huge suitcase for a two day trip…but HELLO, you never really know what could happen. You might need those six pairs a shoes. Haha But I feel that checklists help me a lot, and I’m always paranoid about forgetting something important.

My grandma recently told me that rolling clothing items actually helps to save space. She must be right because she brought the TINIEST little suitcase with her when we went on a weeklong trip to Mexico with my family. I had this ginormo pink suitcase and she had this little bowling ball sized bag. I’m not even kidding. It was like watching Mary Poppins pull out thing after thing and you’re wondering…how the heck did she fit all that in there?!?!

So maybe there is something to this rolling business. Who knows. Cute post!

I travel a lot for work, anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks. I don’t mind packing mostly because I leave a lot of items in my suitcase such as:

Shampoo, toothpaste, body cream – 2nd bottles of these live permanently in my travel toiletries bag.
Large longchamp le plaige and wallet (with change in dollars, euros or pounds for water).
    Scarves, cosy socks, tights, sweatpants.
A scented candle or room spray + bubble bath to wind down after the journey. Smell is everything.

It helps so all I need to think about are outfits and shoes.

I feel like these things are essential always, I am so bad with carrying things around that when I pack I’ll look at it and see things that I carry usually and then I have to add more!

    Gorgeous post, love your style.
