CURRENT NIGHT TIME ROUTINE is alive & kicking.
Hope you guys are loving videos- as you can tell I am really tapping into the YouTube situation. It’s a fun way to show you EXACTLY what is happening. Audio is EVERYTHING & writing is my first love, however video is always needed. There’s something just right about you guys being able to SEE what I am doing.
Huge Tim Ferriss fan. Love his podcast. And his latest book, Tribe Of Mentors. So this post is a very Tim-ish post. Basically I wanted to break down my best-case scenario night time routine for you. Like Tim, I believe a reliable night time routine is VERY MUCH important.
The better the sleep, the less stress. Always.
So here are five steps that HAVE TO HAPPEN during my night time routine:
Night Time Routine
These are not really sleeping habits but certain things that I do at night preparing for sleep. First, you need to have a Salt Rock Night Light. When I was in London I experienced seasonal depression. Staring at the Salt Rock Night Light takes away my depression, ups my mood and helps with my anxiety, depression, and makes me feel good. So, as part of my sleep hygiene, taking a shower with just the Salt Rock Night Lamp on helps with your positive behavioral change, mind and body, and Circadian rhythms. While taking a bath I listen to music – guess what, it’s Tibetans Balm Music. A warm bath also helps wind down my core body temperature hours before bed, coinciding with the release of the sleep hormone melatonin that improves your sleep. Having a light snack hours before bedtime also makes you fall asleep or stay asleep just as long as you are within your daily calorie intake, it’s ok. Also, part of my nighttime routine is to cleanse and exfoliate in the shower. Preparing my sleep environment, I have another Salt Rock night light to keep my bedroom dim, I turn on my white noise machine, get my sleeping mask as to preserve my skin, and lay on my silk pillowcase. Next to my bed is my Hydroflask full of ice, water, minerals, some mint, and even some lemon that will keep me hydrated while I read a book until I fall asleep.

I HOPE THAT HELPS! That’s a very specific way of how I like to unwind. So get off your phone, grab a set of delicious pajamas, turn on the white noise, read a book, & spray some essential oils…all while laying on your acupressure pillow, of course.
