Coming live to you from our new couch!!!

Tomorrow I’m going to a Tibetan herb doctor & you would think I’m a 5 year old going to Disney World for the first time ever.

I’m literally SO excited.

My girlfriend discovered the doctor after feeling lackluster & tired…and now she swears its changed her life.

Yes. Her life.

So yes, DING DING DING, this immediately intriged/s me. No surprise there though.

Basically he’s a holistic doctor who recommends healing teas, herbs, oils, & all-natural remedies specifically for YOU.

Let me be clear: I love all that witch doctor shit. I mean that in a funny, ha-ha, not super serious but I’m serious-kinda way. You guys know I’m fully all about the holistic route if it’s available. But right? LADIES? Anyone with me?

Ok, so I’ll definitely let you guys know how tomorrow’s activities pan out. I’m sure a full recap would be fun so I’ll try to take notes AKA record him secretly on Voice Notes.

Really though, I’m totally feeling a herb post…so coming soon to a blog near you.

Anyone else ever tried the holistic doctor route?

I’m off to watch the Emmy-deserving Vanderpump Rules while Michael totally pretends to read his book with a strong peripheral on Stassi’s grandma style/winning personality.

  1. LOL! Stassi totally has grandma style! Nailed it.

Very excited for an herb post.

    Also, loving that sunglass chain!

  2. First of all, love this non-dorky sunglasses chain! It’s about time someone invented that, it’s so freakin cute! Also, good for you on the herbalist visit – I have good family friends who are Tibetan and there is so much to their practice of meditation + holistic medicine that we can learn from. Enjoy it!

  3. In high school I went to a holistic herbal doctor to help me with health problems that I had been suffering with. (I was in and out of doctors and hospitals for years) I have never gone back to a western medicine doctor since! It was amazing, he was able to tell me things about myself just from looking at my tongue. He would ask me a question and then say “oh then you must be experience all these symptoms” and list off everything that I had been suffering with! It was so cool, and he cured me and completely turned my health around in the safe, natural and so effective herbal remedy way! But of course you really have to find the right doctor, someone you really trust and who really knows their stuff, a recommendation from someone is definitely how to find someone! I can’t wait to hear how it goes!!

  4. So excited to hear about this! I love stuff like that because the laaast thing I wanna do is stock up on meds. Can’t wait to hear how it goes! (:

  5. YESS! Can’t wait to see how this goes for you!! I started seeing a Naturopathic doctor last year after a few health problems and IT HAS BEEN AMAZING. I don’t think I could ever go back to a regular physician. While she is expensive, my health and well being is definitely worth it! I go next week to get a food sensitivity test to see what foods exactly my body is not necessarily allergic to, but sensitive to and could be causing issues or annoyances. Oy. I could go on and on about how much I love my naturopathic doctor.

  6. Super excited to hear about your visit, especially if he/she is based in San Diego? Our daughter was in & out of the hospital for almost 2 years and on about 6 different medications, all of which did nothing. Took the crap out of her diet & all her symptoms went away. Wish more people embraced other forms of healing.

  7. I only see holistic doctors and a homeopathic practitioner. ANd of course use plant-based whole foods as my medicine. My friend is seeing a healer who sees angels and all that stuff and that has changed her life for the better. And she only takes a small donation, “pay whatever you can afford”-style. I’m soooo into all of this. Can’t wait to hear how it went!

  8. Ah I hope you have the best time!! I’m about to graduate with a degree in acupuncture and oriental medicine and it is absolutely insane how much of a difference herbs can make. Witch doctors know what they’re talking about 😉

    btw that mug is precious!!

  9. love love holistic stuff. i can’t wait for a recap on that! also if you are into essential oils at all i’d love to see a post about that – which i know one could go on and on about. even just the basics 🙂

  10. Yes please on the herb post! I’ve asked for recommendations on a good holistic doctor, but never went through with it mainly bc most don’t take insurance. Excited to hear how it goes!!

  11. I’ve been trying the holistic route since August and it’s been great…and weird…and really funny and awkward at times too. Can’t wait to hear about your experience!

  12. Okay I seriously love Vanderpump Rules, so I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one that obsesses over it!

I’m really interested to hear more about how your doctor visit goes. I’ve been wanting to go to one for one of those allergy tests where they tell you all the foods that you’ve been eating for years have been causing you problems you never realized. I haven’t went though because it’s expensive and not covered by insurance. 🙁

  13. Hi lauryn!

I remember watching that video you made with those sparkly sponges. You mentioned in that post that you use baking soda for a lot of your cleaning.
Do you have a blog post with all of your cleaning tips/ recipes?

  14. SO excited about an essential oils post. There are so many conflicting blog posts/articles about how to use them!

I’m also so happy that someone else thinks Stassi dresses like a Grandma on that show, thank you!
