Bonjour from Paris!

This is a quick recap of our three days in Ponferrada, Spain. The days were spent on dune buggies, exploring their historical castle, & having lengthy lunches where we drank wine & thoroughly enjoyed each other’s company [ w/ no computer/phone {!!!} ]. The highlight of the trip: wine tasting in a gigantic vineyard at Palacio de Candeo, which had the most breathtaking wine view I have ever seen. The air was crisp & fresh and we ended up leaving the trip with new friends, as the people were incredibly gracious.

Recommendations from my food experiences in Ponferrada: go light on the meat [ they sure love their jamón ] & definitely try the 1906 beer- it’s super light & tasty. Their Greek yogurt, cherries [ <<< amazing ], & oranges are delicious. Try to incorporate veggies into each meal too. If possible, try a small scoop of the coconut ice cream at the street stands! Also, I was so impressed with their portion sizes.

+ Thanks to all that participated in the Vix bikini giveaway; there will be more- promise! Congrats to the lovely reader: Brooke McCausland [ Vix & I will contact you through e-mail, xo ].
