Ok so I totally left my camera at home this weekend because I wanted to kick back with my friends!

But here’s a peak into my phone’s pics…hope you enjoy!

We drove up with my girlfriend, Jacqueline which was an interesting/hilarious car ride ( to say the least ). It also involved a lot of Kombucha, made-up/weird-ass games, & good music.

And then we enjoyed the sunshine, our hotel’s lemonade/vodka stand ( kinda genius ), & the overall vibe of Palm Springs.

The colors in Palm Springs are so dynamic. I know that sounds weird but everything is so bright & vintage looking. So much fun! I literally couldn’t get enough of the colors so it’s no surprise my phone’s pictures were full of color.

On a more serious note, my friend, Annie wrote a blog post that REALLY resonated today. You guys have to check it out— it’s such a fabulous reminder. Also, after hearing the very sad news about actor/activist Robin Williams, her post could not have come at a better time. I hope you all like the post as much as I did. It was refreshing to start the week with her message. Basically she kind of says everyone has their shit & just because someone’s life looks perfect on the Internet, doesn’t mean they don’t have issues.

Ok, on that note, I hope you all had a fabulous, amazing Monday!!

xx lde

  1. Um, I love you. Thank you for sharing my post. It’s an important topic to me and I so appreciate the love! U are such the incred friend. Can’t wait to see u when I back! xxxxxx

  2. I really love that you and Annie posted this. It made me sad to think people would become depressed over seeing a happy image or life.

But, on the flip side of things I now feel guilty a bit. I don’t want to be the person to say my life is “perfect” but it really is in my opinion. I am so happy and everything I put out there really is what is going on. Maybe I am super blessed by the hard work I put into it in the past – but maybe this can be inspirational too.

Social media can be real life – mine completely is. I have an amazing life and hope I don’t sound like a jerk for saying it. Did I wake up like this one day? No, I didn’t but…I have to say, after all of the really, really hard work put into it, like you said…I think your life is amazing. Mine too. And I think when you work hard enough for it, you should be able to enjoy it and not feel guilty because someone else is envious.

Why bother being envious when you can just get up and work towards that too? The time will pass anyways! 😉

  3. Hi Lauryn! I am a fellow San Diegan who just bought a second home in Palm Springs with my wife and we also started a lifestyle blog.
