Sunday we enjoyed a Ploughman’s Lunch.
Heard of it?
( If not, immediately Google it immediately! )
So I’m def not a fan of sitting down & consuming one big entrée. I’m more of a picker, appetizer-loving, snacking-kinda girl. So ya know, ya know, I love a lunch consisting of a lil cheese, a couple grapes, some Whispering Angel rosé ( with heart ice cubes, der! ), a few crackers, some organic turkey, a veggie roll ( or 5 ), fruit salad, etc.
Hence why a Ploughman’s Lunch is right up my alley— because there’s a bit of everything. Mmmm.
Anyway I tried to squeeze a Mother’s Day gift out of Michael ( total fail though, boo ) because technically I’m a mom…l mean, Pixy literally thinks I birthed & nursed her.
LOLZ.
Ok, so for your next event try a Ploughman’s Lunch— you definitely can’t go wrong because everyone can pick what they like & it’s not super heavy!
Hope you all had a nice Mother’s Day!!
xx. L
So I don’t have a bf at the moment to convince, but when I came back in town to pick up my fluffball from my parents’, my dad gave me a mother’s day card where he traced Sydney (my bichon’s) paw print. I died as my heart melted.
It’s a fact that rose tastes better with heart ice cubes 😉 Doggie moms definitely deserve presents on Mother’s Day too!
I love this idea – can’t wait to try this out the next time we have people over for brunch!!!
Meghan xo
PS – my dog is like our child, too. 🙂
I share in your philosophy on eating small bites! I love a little bit of everything rather than one huge portion of something. The fancy life, right? 🙂
I tried to ask my bf if I could get a present for *not* being a mom yet…. like pregaming. He didn’t fall for it LOL
This looks so lovely!!

Look so good! Just discovered your blog and I think I’m officially obsessed. 🙂
Ok, if you’re after a light meal, whatever you do, do NOT order the ploughmans lunch in the UK. You will be given a huge hunk of bread, slabs of cheese, a pile of meat and then pickles. Just a heads up :p xxx
My hubby gave me a mother’s day card from our fur baby, a puggle. He held the pen in her paw and let her scribble at the bottom of it and then put her name in parenthesis underneath. It was adorable and I loved it! I definitely agree that doggie moms count too!
Such a fab idea- did you make the veggie rolls? They look delish! Xo, S
Your dog is the cutest thing, like, EVER. And we’re def on the same page about having many edible options vs one mega dish. It’s just more interesting that way, plus I think it actually helps digestions (if you wanna get all science-y about it…) Loved the pics!
Seeing this just makes me want to eat outside and spend the whole day on some breezy patio
i’m a total grazer so absolutely love this lunch idea!
Hi, what kind of crackers are in the pic?
