Sorry! Sorry! I’m totally late on the weekly ‘Mini DeLites’ post ( normally I feature the section on Monday nights, not Tuesday ).

But honestly?!!! After shooting yesterday’s YouTube tutorial for eight hours straight, I was exhausted/hypoglycemic/hungry.

Typically I snack throughout the day. Yesterday, though…? Not so much. I forgot to eat.

Soooo ( GASP! ) guess what happened? At dinner I shoved my face with chips & salsa & beans & guacamole. Heyyyy, I’m fine with indulging every once in a while but not in the eat-everything-or-I’ll-die-from-starvation type of way.

If I don’t snack throughout the day, then I’ll end up stuffing myself full of crappy crap.

Yuck.

Anyway now I’m feeling much better! Examples of snacks today ( thus far ): sprouted toast, a kale/apple/lemon Suja, pineapple, a cup of coffee, grapes, hummus, an egg & some cottage cheese.

What’s your favorite satisfying, on-the-go snacks?

    Totally trying bee pollen. I’m glad I’m not alone with the stuffing my face thing. Today I was busy busy busy and only ate some watermelon and carrots. I came home at 5 and shoved my face with peanut butter, Oreo’s, and chinese food. Yiiiikes. Looks like a morning run is in my future.

    I’m the same way about snacking…I’ve never been that into big meals and I need little bites throughout the day, otherwise I totally pig out on salty carby crunchy things. Good tip about the kid’s Tupperware!! <3

    I hear you about snacking – if I don’t have enough meals throughout the day, I end up hitting the office candy stash = bad news. My favorite on-the-go snack is a smoothie. I have the Ninja blender and it’s so easy to throw some fruit and protein powder in for a quick, healthy meal. @Eleni – those Trader Joe’s Roasted Coconut Chips sound amazing!
