I really, really love reading. When I was little, my parents used to encourage riding my neon Big Wheel more often. They were nervous books were making me anti-social…I’m sure the spiderwebs collecting on the plastic bike didn’t help the situation.
Lately it feels like life has been too hectic to become lost in a novel. Between distractions from technology, work, friends, family, Pixy, da, da, da, daaaaa, reading is suddenly less of a priority.
Today I bought Klonopin Lunch, Let’s Pretend This Never Happened: A Mostly True Memoir, & Gone Girl, so this week I’m making the effort to sit.down.&.read. Any other book recommendations?
We’re going out for Italian food tonight; a little wine, a little pasta, a lot of salad…I’ll share some easy Italian modifications later this week. X.

Just finished Secret Daughter by Shilpi Somaya Gowda. It was a great book!
Pixy is so cute! Gone Girl was good! I love that author (Gillian Flynn) and her first two books are some of my all time faves. If you haven’t read them they are Dark Places and Sharp Objects. They aren’t related so you can read them in any order!
Thanks for the tip babe! xo
Gone girl will blow you away!!! A little slow at first but then BOOM you cant put it down! Great book!!
Never heard of KlutchClub – checking out their box now!
You’ll <3 it!
Just finished Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Coast Trail; Strayed, Cheryl. One of the best recs I received from a friend book-wise. It’s amazing and true!
I’ll check it out : ) x
Just finished The Marriage Plot by Jeffrey Eugenides. While it wasn’t as good as his earlier novel Middlesex, it satisfied me. The author has a lot of similar life experiences to me and used those in how he has set his novels (we grew up in the same area at about the same time and had similar college experiences) so that increases my enjoyment of his novels. This novel is definitely recommended for former English majors. I don’t read as many novels at all as I used to, but they are a nice change from plain old Internet reading.
What do you think of KLUTCH Club? I’ve been thinking of signing up for their box. I’m obsessed with Aloe Vera Juice. The Awaken Wheatgrass is one of my faves!
Beat The Reaper – Josh Bazell
It’s as if Quentin Tarantino wrote a mash-up of Grey’s Anatomy & The Sopranos.
What is the point of the klutchclub stuff? Just trying to understand….sounds interesting!
You get a box each month full of fun fitness/health goodies. Each month is different treats! XO.
I enjoy your site. Thanks for doing such a good job. I will come back to read more and recommend my coworkers about your writing.
