Sometimes it’s nice to be alone. Time to myself is few & far between, so I tend to embrace independent moments. Saturday turned out to be an extensively long, stressful day, so I decided I needed a break from everyone. I went to restaurant, grabbed a chair at the bar, & ordered a black bean, corn filled chile relleno. So there I sat, in a big hooded sweater, drinking a beer & reading my latest book. Truthfully, I could not have been happier. Fortunately today I feel completely rejuvenated & back to my normal self. Would love to hear what you do when you’re stressed & craving alone time?

My roommate won’t be home on occasional Friday nights. If I know she won’t be home after my 12 hour shift (I’m usually tired to the bone), I’ll buy a bottle of wine, order a pizza, and get a movie. Once I’m home, I’ll take a hot bath. Next, I’ll slip into my most comfy pj’s, pop in the DVD, eat a couple of slices of my hot pizza, and drink wine until I fall asleep. I never make it to the end of the movie or through one glass of wine. Such a simple task, but it is one night that I really look forward to sometimes.
