You guys!!!

Hi!!!

What’s up?

So I was on Facebook Sunday night, browsing around like a total creeper ( don’t pretend you don’t do it ) & I came across this super interesting list/article: 18 Struggles Of Having An Outgoing Personality But Actually Being Shy Introverted by: Brianna Wiest.

I know everyone on the whole planet reads those random FB articles & is like “OMG, OMG, OMG that’s SO me!!!”

But really, that is SO, so, so me.

Anyone with me?

I wouldn’t say the whole article depicts my entire personality but there’s definitely no shortage of similarities, AKA number 16:

“You’re at your happiest in places like coffee shops and cafés: surrounded by people, but still closed off and keeping to yourself.”

I mean…!!! Hello?!

There’s def some I don’t relate to on the list, but it’s safe to say my Gemini-ish personality wants to sit home reading like a big-ass homebody and also wants to go out with my friends for cocktails & gab my life away.

Walking oxymoron, right?

Mind you, I was reading this at 2 am when I couldn’t sleep so maybe I need to re-read the article. Guilty as charged: it was more of a skimmie-poo read. So ya, just a peak inside my 2 am life.

So, what are you? Extrovert? Introvert? Both? Neither? Do tell.

Hope you all had a kick-ass, fantastically relaxing Labor Day. x Lauryn

I’m an introvert who wishes she was an extrovert! I couldn’t be more happy when I’m home alone at night, sitting in bed, watching The Good Wife/Grey’s Anatomy/SVU, and munching on some berries. I wish I loved staying out till 5am and spending all day hanging out with my friends, but I find being around people for more than half a day to be strangely tiring.

On a side note, Michael’s tattoos look super sick. What are they?

Thar mug is SO me! (see what I did there?) but seriously…I need that.
I’m not sure if Im and introvert or extrovert, I just like to keep it to myself, be quiet and do my thing but if there is people around and can switch off and talk and be “all that” non stop.

I’m definitely a mix of the two! I love staying in and watching Netflix, but also love hanging out with my friends and going to dinner and parties. Although I’ve got to be honest I was never much of a club girl, living in Miami they just don’t do it for me anymore (but I love lounges). Anyway, being a walking oxymoron is kind of fun though, isn’t it?

Ha! I love that article. I can relate to the majority of it and it makes me feel good that there are other extroverted introverts. 🙂

Loved the article, and like you, I am both. A lot of times I struggle with this. As I have grown older, the more and more I have wanted to stay in and either read a book, watch a movie, or look at my favorite online stores. But when I do get out, I forget who that homebody is and a switch inside me immediately turns on that makes me a social butterfly. Funny how that works!

I read the same article a while ago and being a gemini as well I completely am in the same boat! Naturally more of an introvert with extrovert traits making an appearance here and there.. I think I confuse people sometimes simply because I am just as happy going to a concert with friends as I am sitting at home reading a book with a cup of tea.

Hey gorgeous, can we have an update on your alcohol hiatus? I’d love to know if this has been a challenge, if you’ve modified any of your social habits, how you feel, how long you plan to do it, etc?? I recently did the Whole30 and avoided booze for 30+ days- felt amazing AND leaned out so I’m trying to figure out how to make this sustainable, especially in social settings. There’s nothing like a little wine buzz though… do you replace that relaxing feeling with something else- massage, exercise, sauna, etc??? Any ideas?

Don’t know why, but am not a big fan of going out and socializing. Give me a good book, some soft retro music on the background and I’m happy.
