Ahhhhhh, OMG is anyone else in la-la-love with their local Farmer’s Market?
Anyone??
Because I.just.cannot.get.enough.
I feel like we’re there every weekend because each Sunday holds so many tiny treasures ( plus Pixy loves a good walk ).
This weekend’s small finds: a bundle of the freshest lavender, homemade Kombucha, spicy sea salt, & kale kimchi.
The older I get, the more I appreciate the little things. After a long, hectic, psycho work week something like a Farmer’s Market is almost therapeutic…aimlessly strolling through the street with my head in the clouds is kinda fun.
& obviously, it’s really special to see so many people so passionate about their product! Inspiring, right?!
Anyone else shop at their local Farmer’s Market? If so, what’s your favorite tiny treasure you’ve found?
xx lde

Yes! I am so with you on the farmers market. We are so lucky to have so many in San Diego. I love love love the lecadia market on Sundays…have you been? Treasures for me…flowers for sure. I buy this huge bouquet and split it up and place them all over my house, they seriously last 1 week and only cost 5 bucks. I also get these chick-pea spinach burgers…they are so good, especially over salads. Oh and truffle salt…but that stuff is Dan-Gerous!
P.S That RING!:)
YUM! I need to try those burgers ASAP! x.
Just moved to Las Vegas, have been to two other Farmers Markets but our third was our favorite so far! We found Urban Hydro Greens, at Fresh52 Farmer’s Market, on Eastern Ave. Las Vegas, where they grow and sell micro-greens. I had their Chocolate Superfood Warrior which contains Cacao (raw chocolate) Kale micro-greens, Almond butter, Almond milk, banana, cinnamon and cacao nibs. DELICIOUS! They sell kits so you can grow your own micro-greens and we are going to try it!
I need that kit ASAP!
I wish we had a farmers market where I lived! We have a fish market instead.
A fish market sounds incredible though : ).
I do love the farmers market.. I love buying fresh honey and we always get our eggs from there as well. Each trip is different!
Ps. I’m obsessed with the tree in that picture! Do you know what kind it is? I want to grow it somewhere, although I have a feeling it doesn’t grow in Minnesota… either way, i’ts so pretty!
I LOVE their raw honey. It helps with my allergies. I don’t know the tree in the picture…does anyone know what kind of tree that is?!
I haven´t been reading my regular blogs in about 2 weeks due to a crazy work/travel schedule, but man, it feels good to read TSC again. I completely agree, I LOVE laid-back (but productive) weekends!

You’re so sweet!! Thanks for reading babe : )
I used to go to the Beverly Hills farmers market EVERY sunday and it was SUCH a treat and my favorite way to catch up with girlfriends! In Bangkok we have several EVERYDAY its insane and so much fun! xo C
Lucky!! Several?! I’m so jealous! x.
Us Californians are so lucky to have great farmers markets year round! I love getting homemade raw sauerkraut and spicy probiotic carrots at the one near me!
YUUMMM> I need those spicy carrots.
I just loved the Farmer’s Market downtown Madison, WI and would argue it is THE best in the country with the number and variety of vendors. I haven’t found a good one in Denver yet, which is so so disappointing. Back in Madison there was a farmer who only sold potatoes, and he got me hooked on purple viking potatoes. They are a beautiful deep shade of purple, and he recommended I use the as my go-to for mashed potatoes. Yum!
That seriously sounds good!! I forgot about purple viking potatoes. Adding that to my Farmer’s Market list.
I wish we had a farmer’s market close to Columbus, OH. Maybe we do & I just don’t know about it.
Any idea’s where else I could find fresh//cheap produce besides the normal grocery store?
Btw- the ring is beautiful!!
I bet you could order some in. Or drink Suja because it’s organic juice : ). x.
I’m in love with farmers markets! My mother used to always take me as a child while growing up in Hoboken, NJ to one that took place every week. She always loved to buy fresh produce from there. Now living in DC, I’m fortunate that every Thursday afternoon I can walk out of my office building, walk two blocks and be right at a farmers market. My favorite buys are local wildflower honey (great for allergies), Souper Girl Vegan Tomato Gazpacho, and a fresh peach and mint juice.
I have the wildflower honey from SD too. It helps so much with my allergies!
I love my Saturday walks to farmers market as well. It became a lovely routine for me and my boyfriend and we normally get veg falafel wraps on our way back. We both prefer different falafel stands though 😛

YUM!
I LOVE my local Farmer’s Market!!! I live 8 hours north of Toronto in northern Ontario and we are seriously lacking choices when it comes to local produced anything and our Farmer’s Market is helping fill my need for it!! On my blog, I’m doing a mini series on our Farmer’s Market here and would love for you to check it out!
