Kim Kelly is known around San Diego for her insanely motivating & challenging workouts. Every time I attend her empowering classes she pushes me to my limit. Admittedly difficult, but I love it. Her energy, drive, & passion for fitness is contagious. I spoke with the Lululemon ambassador and Pilates instructor about diet & exercise:
+ Describe yourself?
Energetic, social, fun, busy, & dedicated mom!
+ What’s your teaching history?
I have taught Pure Barre for over two years & currently teach at Sculpt Pilates Plus SPX & Sculpt Fusion Yoga. It’s a fun, heated bootcamp style yoga at SFY- not your “typical” Vinyasa class; I personally love all kinds of yoga. I also have clients that I meet for personal one-on-one training.
+ How is fitness incorporated in your everyday life?
Some type of exercise gets done everyday- running, Pilates, yoga, or soccer with my boys, & if I do not have time for a full class or run, then at least push ups & tricep dips…maybe some jump squats too :-).
+ Quick skinny tip?
I always have pre-cut veggies in my frig- red, yellow, orange bell peppers, celery, etc.- then they’re ready for dipping. For dip I use hummus or Greek yogurt. I love the cold veggies, because I love to “crunch” on something.
+ Which workout has provided you with the most results?
Workouts like SPX Sculpt Pilates that keep you moving from one exercise to the next without stopping or having time to think about it. This is way more effective than walking around the gym from machine to machine.
+ Staple snack?
Nuts! love them! Almonds, walnuts, & pistachios.
+ Drink of choice?
I call it “Spa Water.” I always have lemon, lime, cucumber, or orange slices in my water…I end up drinking more of it that way & it tastes amazing!
