Lately it feels like summer in San Diego. Between the insanely beautiful weather & the delish fruit, I’m definitely ready to chill poolside with a book, an oversized hat, & some gnarly SPF ( << wrinkles! Protect your skin!! ).
Many of you have asked if I’m a big fruit person. Answer: abso-Fing-lutely. ESP when it’s in season.
So it’s no surprise that I’ve been incorporating fruits into salads as much as possible. I’m game for anything: pomegranate seeds, blood oranges, kumquats, white peaches, &/or grapefruit slices. This salad below is one of my favs; you can’t go wrong with avo & watermelon!
Again, I cannot stress this enough: healthy eating is not supposed to be some complicated Rubik’s cube. I mean, there’s absolutely no reason that you should have to think twice about it. It’s one of those things that once ya get it, ya get it.
Eat clean & keep it simple!!
Happy Thursday! x.
This looks so yummy!
um…YUM!!! I’m so glad I’m not the only one who loves avocado with…well, EVERYTHING! I love the mix of sweet + savory; so yummy…and the meyer lemon OMG, that’s whats been missing in my fruit salad! Plus watermelon is a great source of Vitamin A which is fabulous (in conjunction with suncreen, obv) for keeping wrinkles at bay…BUT since vit A is fat soluble, you wouldn’t absorb this super awesome benefit from the watermelon without that creamy delish avo! Thanks for the anti aging slash perfect pooltime pre june gloom recipe lady 🙂
This turned out really good for me. My toddler even loved it all except the avocado (she’s going through an “I hate avocado” phase). Later I made this without the berries or avocado because I ran out, and still it was SO good! Thanks for the easy, delicious recipe!
With summer finally here in NYC, I found this recipe in perfect timing! Thank you for this 🙂
