Poor kiwi.
It sits between the shiny red apples, plump blueberries, & ripe raspberries and totally gets ignored.
BIG.BIG.BIG. mistake.
This superfood has so many benefits I could write a novel. Here’s a few: there’s more potassium in a kiwi then a banana, one kiwi has more Vit C than an orange, the fruit repairs DNA, protects against cancer, contains tons of fiber, & decreases the risk of heart disease. Oh…& beauty-wise? It keeps hair, skin, teeth, & nails looking hot, sexy, & healthy. The furry fruit enhances energy levels too. Annnddd a hundred cals for two kiwis? I’m sold.
So. After watching The Dr. Oz Show I discovered a trick: puree your kiwi. Add about three ( make sure they’re skinned ) to a blender or food processor + a sprinkle of Stevia. Then pour over low fat Greek yogurt & you’ve got yourself the best snack/dessert evs. Other options: add kiwi to homemade salsa, veggie salads, or use it as jam on a piece of low carb toast.
On the exterior it’s an ugly ass fruit, but when it’s cut open the green goodness provides way too many benefits to pass up!
