Kardashian To-Go Salad Bowls

The only thing running through my mind while watching “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” is where the hell do they get those damn salads?

After extensive research, I’ve discovered the salads are from Health Nut in Woodland Hills, California— which I’ll be stopping at next time we’re on the way to LA ( take note, MICHAEL ). I feel like I deserve to try these famous salads after the hours of research.

Really, my intense research has left me pooped.

For whoever cares: the sisters eat a Chef Salad which includes: sliced turkey breast, shredded mozzarella, tomatoes, sprouts, sunflower seeds, & they swap turkey for chicken. Khloe usually adds avocado for an extra $1.50. Also, don’t forget an iced mango green-tini. And if we’re getting stalker-ish, which we are, there are approximately 242 calories in the salad & 277 calories in the dressing, totaling 519 calories total. Price? $10.75.

Wow, I’m a loser.

But aren’t you curious too? Just a bit?

Since we don’t have a Health Nut around our house ( ANNOYING, HIGHLY ANNOYING ) I had to figure out issue number one: WHERE THE F DO I GET THOSE SALAD CONTAINERS?

But you get it because they’re so GOOD, no? Especially perfect for taking food to the office.

It literally makes my life six billion times easier to throw a salad or a basic fruit salad in my Kim K. to-go salad container.

Best part though: I wash them & re-use them. You know all this if you follow along on Snapchat.

Making a to-go salad without my favorite Kardashian containers? Tragic, horrifying, offensive. I can’t go on.

So sure, you could say I feel strongly about the fact that everyone who works in an office setting NEEDS these containers.

Here’s why: it makes healthy eating effortless, it’s ready to go, you can make whatever you want the night before & grab it from the fridge & GO. Ultimately, I feel like a train wreck in the morning if I don’t plan ahead, so this helps me feel like my life is together.

The 3 salads I usually add to these KONTAINERS ( get it? Keeping up with the ‘K’ theme ):

1.) Basic Bitch Salad:

Handful of spinach, handful of arugula, one avocado ( too lazy to slice it, so I just squeeze it out ), lemon, my favorite garlic/tomato sauce, raw broccoli, bell peppers, sliced turkey, & chili flakes.

2.) The “I’m Feeling Creative For a Day” Salad:

Handful of arugula, handful of kale, handful of grapes, strawberries, shaved almonds, sliced eggs, olive oil, red wine vinegar, lemon, & chili flakes.

3.) I Need to Fit in My Bikini Salad:

Arugula, broccoli, spinach, avocado, shredded chicken, garlic sauce, lemon, & chili flakes.

** If you’re feeling feisty, do a fruit medley OR chop up some grapefruit with Greek yogurt, cinnamon, & Stevia. Also you can use these KONTAINERS for popcorn, scrambled eggs, &/or a taco salad. Trust me, I’ve tried it all.

I love a good fruit medley.

Anyway, is it bizarre that I researched this post ad nauseam?

Side note: currently on a plane. I literally have no idea where we are going. My birthday is May 21st & Michael decided to surprise the shit out of me. He put earphones in my ears & hid our tickets— so ya, I’m a million feet in the air with no idea where the hell we’re headed. Will keep you guys updated via Snapchat.

Ok well I’m off to eat airplane peanuts & drink champagne. Someone just clogged the only toilet on the flight, so there’s that. See you guys on Snap – @laurynevarts.

Happy Wednesday ( Thursday? I’m mixed up ). x lauryn

Hi Hayley! You don’t like salad? Like, any salad?? What about taco salads? What about vegetable salads? Or just no salads at all? xx

Totally OFF topic but what is your take on candles and the research out there that yankee, febreeze candle fumes are toxic? Have you heard of it, I have noticed on the blog/youtube that you use a healthier alternative for candles. I don’t remember where but maybe you can do a post on candles?

This is THE BEST post ever!!! I too obsess over those salads! It’s like looking for a cameo in every episode!!! I too tried to Google search where they got those salads… crossing my fingers it was a big chain store! Thanks for all the details and thanks for not making me feel so crazy for wanting to know all the details!

Hi lady, it was really sweet. Michael definitely earned some brownie points. I guess I’ll keep him. HA! xx

Please provide more details on the phantom toilet clogger! For your sake I hope you are flying to Las Vegas and not direct to Macao! Otherwise your cute salad container may need to be repurposed as a chamber pot!
I have stopped eating salad dressing altogether because as you point out it has more calories than the actual salad. For 500+ calories I’d rather have pizza or a sandwich.

Hi Jennifer, your comment literally made me laugh out loud. Thank you! And yes, salad dressing is SO deceiving. There is also usually TONS of hidden added sugars. I opt for olive oil, lemon, etc etc. Thanks for reading! xx

I am for sure guilty of googling what/where the Kardashians get their salads from. There is a new place by my house called Garden Bar(not sure if they have these in California, I live in Portland, OR) that I am obsessed with. They make Kardashian type salads and have so many lovely ingredients and different dressings and things. So freaking convenient and nice. All about it.

Hi Melanie, we don’t have Garden Bar in California. Or at least I’ve never seen one. It sounds amazing! I’ve never been to Portland either, I’ve heard the food is AMAZING. Have any other recommendations just in case I ever get up there? xx

Hi Mackenzie, hmm that’s a hard one! I have a few. Honestly, I love just squeezing a ton of lemon on salads. Or lemon & olive oil. Or green yogurt is great if you’re going for more of a COBB salad vibe. What’s your favorite? xx

Love Health Nuts Salad! I am from Calabasas and I would always get the salad there for lunch in high school with a scoop of tuna! Its to die for! When you go the place it’s in vitamin shop and you order in the back, its not as cute as you might think it is lol! Best food ever! Such a hidden gem 🙂 Love the containers too!

    Hi Lauryn,
You linked the bowls twice and I’ve been searching else where but can’t seem to buy the bowls in small quantities. Did you buy the 150 pack like you linked? I know you said you wash and reuse them but what about the other 149 bowls? Do they just sit on a shelf?

I just found your blog after researching Vital Proteins. I love this post and it makes me laugh so hard! That is exactly what I have wondered the times I have watched that show! I love your blog. Thanks for the good info and beautiful layout.

OMG!!! I’ve been dying to know! So glad you researched this (this is the research I can get behind!). Now I used to HATE salad but I’m starting to like them more and more. If you’re making yours with chicken, are you pre-making the meat? I’ve tried using rotisserie chicken and that stuff is TERRIBLE heated up next day. #Halp

Thank you for the Kardashian salad post! I too have been searching, which is how I found you.
So now I’m wondering if you’ve tried MONAT antiaging hair care. I am a rep and would LOVE to get a review from you. TIA
(Had a breast reduction and have been stuck on the sofa. I’ve watched probably 30 KUWTK episodes and am a little obsessed right now. Lol)
