Kind of a triple V-Day threat for ya today BECAUSE UMMM there’s a chocolate shake, candied rim margaritas, AND these cranberry scones.
One of these three will rock your Valentine hunny-do’s world. For the chocolate lover, check out this chocolate shake. And then if you’re looking to get buzzed for V-Day, check out What’s Gaby Cooking because she whipped up my candied margaritas on her blog.
Backstory: Gaby is a friend of mine & an INSANE cook ( HELLO Slutty Brownies!!! )— really guys, she is one of the best food bloggers EVER. Anyway, we teamed up to collaborate on another recipe: SCONES.
Who doesn’t like scones? I mean personally I am constantly envisioning myself in England, eating scones, sipping peppermint tea with my pinky erect…but that’s maybe just me?
Scones are just chic. And PERFECT for Valentine’s…or any day really.
These in particular were SO easy to make & most of the ingredients can be found in your pantry. If you’re out of dried cranberries, throw in strawberries, blueberries, or even pink sprinkles. Get creative with it.
Enjoy them warm & thank us later.
HOW TO MAKE SOMEONE FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU CRANBERRY SCONES ♡
2 cups flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
5 tbsp unsalted butter, cold, cut into chunks
1 1/2 cup heavy cream
1 cup dried cranberries
+ Directions: combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Using a pastry blender, cut in the butter to coat the pieces with the flour. The mixture should look like coarse crumbs. Next add the heavy cream. Fold everything together being careful not to overwork the dough. Fold in the dried cranberries. Form large mounds out of the dough. The size can vary depending on if you want to stretch the recipe to make more. Make them the size of a golf ball. Arrange them on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake in a 400 degree oven for 16-20 minutes, or until the top just barely turns golden brown.

By the way, it was last minute but I totally whipped up coconut milk whipped cream to add to these. The recipe can be found here & it paired REALLY well the melt in your mouth scones. You could also do a little side of TSC 5 Second Jam. How amazing does that sound? I’m literally drooling on the keyboard as we speak…
OK SO get ready because Gaby & I have a bunch of more fun collaborations up our sleeve that you guys will LOVE…
