Fotball Frue, written by Caroline Berg Eriksen, is by far my favorite fitness blog. Turns out, tons [ & tons ] of other peeps agree. This sexy lady runs the biggest blog in Norway…Oh, & she also happens to be married to a hot fotball player [ in the US, he would be a soccer player ], wrote a lovely book [ she’s 25! ], annnnnddd keeps in tip-top shape. Like, seriously AMAZING, Victoria’s Secret-model kind of shape.

When I found out she wanted to collaborate with TSC, I nearly died of excitement.

Anyway, you may have to translate her bloggie & trust me, this is definitely a ‘bookmarker-type blog.’ Here ya go, babes:

+ Tell us allll about yourself!
.
Caroline Berg Eriksen: I am a twenty five year old girl, journalist, & happily married to a football player. We got married in June 2010, and I wrote a lot about it on my blog, Fotball Frue; the planning of our wedding, during it, & after. My readers loved it! I am such an organized person, & LOVE to plan big events.
On my blog you can read about my every day life, fashion, outfits, exercising, & health. I absolutely love to work out and to take care of my health. I eat similar to the LCHF-principal [ low-carb, high-fat { tons more info here too } ] & ended up writing a lifestyle book in March of this year with a lot of tips, & of course, recipes :D!

+ Inspiration to start blogging?

CBE: Just the fact that I was finished with my journalist education, I wanted some place to write whatever I felt like writing, & I was not sure how to get a dream job immediately, so I felt that a blog was a great way to start [ this was in May 2009 ].

+ Advice for new bloggers?

CBE: Think quality, not quantity. And don’t just post something if you do not have anything interesting to write. Have amazing posts, proper grammar, & take clear, beautiful pictures. The more pictures, the better!

+ Quick skinny tips or tricks?

CBE: Stay away from sugar [ <<< I completely agree!! Such a fab tip. ]! And eat nuts like cashews, macadamia nuts, &/or peanuts if you want a quick snack.

+ Weekly workout schedule?

CBE: I work out five to six times per week [ for about an hour to an hour & a half each session). Since running is what I love, I try to run about forty five to fifty kilometers a week. I also concentrate on my abs, my back, my butt, & my arms whenever I can. I’ll work my abs/back every time after my run, & then the rest of my body two to three times per week.

+ Cocktail of choice?

CBE: I LOVE a ‘Piña Colada’ & Martini Bianco vermouth with ice [ not together- haha, separately ]. But I try to stick to red or white wine on the weekends, but I drink A LOT of ‘Piña Colada’ cocktails & vermouth on the rocks during vacations.

+ Motivation to stay in shape?

CBE: I am going to be a mother one day, and I want to be in my best shape during & after the pregnancy. My dream is to show other women that a pregnancy does not ruin your body. This is my biggest motivation. Also I want to feel good about myself as I age. AND! I want my husband to think I am THE hottest woman ever. Haha :-).

+ World’s best beauty product?
.

+ Natural beauty remedy that you do?

CBE: I always rinse my face in the morning & right before I go to bed- no matter how tired I am. This is SO important!

  2. I have to know…who is her brown bag by? (in last three photos of her?)
I know the black one is 3.1 Philip Lim…but totally crushing on the other one!

  3. Do you know of anyway I can get her blog translated to English? Or do I need to translate each article individually I want to read?

    1. Just Google ‘Fotball Frue’ and then click translate next to the link and it will translate the whole blog. : )

  4. First of all I’m SO excited that I just found your blog, and secondly, it’s great timing because now with this interview, it looks like I’ve found two 😉

    Can’t wait to read more!

  5. I discovered this blog last year, and visit every day 🙂
I am from norway, and think its so fun that you have Caroline on your blog!!
you are two of my favourite bloggers, and have been that for a long time
    love it! <3

    1. Wow! I’m flattered ; ) you make blogging fun. Thank you Marthe!

    1. I don’t think so : (. I wish. If you can, I’ll let you know! XO.

  6. So cool that you have take a norwegian blogger on your site! I’m from Norway, and it is a very small country, so it is very cool to do that;) (hope you understood my VERY bad english)

    1. You do not have bad English! It’s great, actually. I love my Norway readers : ) I hope to visit one day soon.

  7. Love the post, read her blog every day! I am not sure if you know, but in Norwegian media her blog has been disputed quite a lot, due to her look on the LCHF diet (that is not very popular). Some people love her, but media love to hate her. Myself, I see her as a great motivation for women in the entire country (and maybe also in foreign countries), although I don´t use this diet myself.

This is the link to one article. It is in Norwegian, but maybe you will find a way to translate it?

  8. I am from Norway , I read her blog everyday! So cool that you have written about her on your blog! 🙂 Have a nice day!

  9. She has inspired me to start working out properly. She works out with such joy and happiness, and now I do too 🙂 And she is NOT all about being skinny, or that you have to work out 6 times a week, but to find your own style. Her goal is to stay healthy. I started doing no exercise whatsoever, and now i work out 3-4 times a week! And I actually love it!

    1. That’s EXACTLY why I LOVE her. She makes it fun with her own style. It can be so fun ; ).

  10. Tried to google her site and I didn’t see the Translate option. Am I missing something? Her blog looks amazing!

    1. Google her blog and then next to it type translate. If that doesn’t work e-mail me and I’ll screen shot it for you, babe! XO.
