Fruit is so useful when it comes to concocting the ideal dessert. It’s light, full of nutrients & sweet. This particular fruit-filled treat is ridiculously easy — I choose white peaches, extra sweet strawberries and fresh, ripe red plums. Then I whipped up Greek 0% yogurt & organic honey.I topped it on the fruit and sprinkled cinnamon, nutmeg and grated dark chocolate. Dark chocolate is amazing if it’s the right brand [ I like the dark chocolate 73% from Trader Joe’s, but I love Extra Dark with Almonds by Hershey’s- either one works ]. We ate this in bed while we watched the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills [ I love Kyle! ], and discussed Adrienne Maloof’s glitter hair tinsel.
** Serves two people
1 chopped white peach
8 sliced strawberries
3 1/2 tablespoons of 0% Greek yogurt
4 squirts of organic honey
2 dashes of cinnamon
2 dashes of nutmeg
2 tablespoons of shredded dark chocolate [ do this with a cheese grater & a full chocolate bar ]
Add two pretty glasses to freezer to chill & prepare fruit [ clean, slice and/or chop ]. After a half an hour, remove glasses & add prepared fruit. Whip together 0% Greek yogurt and organic honey in a separate cup. After the mixture is combined, add on top of fruit. Sprinkle cinnamon, nutmeg & dark chocolate on top. Enjoy in a romantic setting with a fantastic smelling candle!
