SKINNNNNCARE!!! IS!!!! EVERYTHING!!!
As you guys know, my number one beauty tip (besides sleep ) is sunscreen. Because, DUH!!!
And sunscreen def falls under that anti-aging category.
Anti-aging essentials for skin are a must. Besides anything that’s preventative is a win/win in my book. But there’s one other beauty tip that takes the cake…SAY NO TO STRESS.
Stress can accelerate aging by 10 years…I know, right? BOO.
Anyway, last week I talked about my love for Elizabeth Arden products because of their longtime, amazing track record. Whelp, surprise!! Their skincare products rock too…& focus on primarily on anti-aging.
Luckily, they just launched ‘Flawless Future Powered By Ceramide™‘ which helps to replenish depleted ceramides lost due to aging and stress (I hate you, stress!). This anti-aging, stress-fighting trio officially hits shelves today but, I got a sneak peak! Personally, I deal with some anxiety so stress is something I deal with on a day to day basis. My lifestyle is very go, go, go so I need all the anti-aging I can get…lemme tell ya..
Ok, so I spilled some my makeup tips a few days ago, & then this week I’m getting down dirty with a lil skin post.
I always look for products that are anti-aging. My skin essentials are simple:
♥ I need a good anti-aging skin serum ( because, duh! )
♥ An eye gel that prevents under eye wrinkles
♥ A moisturizer w/ sunscreen that contains at least SPF 30 * SPF. SPF. SPF. Can’t say that one enough.
My routine is simple and this three-step system helps me keep it that way in the shower I use a good bar of all-natural soap to scrub my face. Afterwards I add this Elizabeth Arden serum to my face & allow it to dry. Once it’s dried I add their eye gel. Then I mix this moisturizer with my foundation ( mix it with a brush ) & apply the foundation mixture to my face.
Voila!
These products work well for my busy lifestyle because they make my skin appear more energized ( AKA less stressed ) & help get rid of sun damage and dark spots.
+++ Some other skin care tips:
♡ When applying eye gel, pat it on, don’t press it on. This will prevent wrinkles.
♡ Only exfoliate the face once a week. Opt for kinder methods the rest of the week.
♡ Pat your skin dry with a towel, as opposed to scrubbing it. + Don’t forget to apply SPF on your neck & hands.
♡ Eat clean. What you eat comes out on your skin. I like healing my bod from the inside out, as opposed to the outside in.
What’s your best kept skin care secret?

Have you heard of Rodan + Fields Anti-Aging line? I love it!
Ugh! I just had the WORST sunburn of my life and have officially sworn to wearing sunscreen daily now all over my body. SPF. SPF. SPF. SPF.
It’s a blessing in disguise!! Feel better & use aloe vera plant ( not gel ). xx.
I have used Elizabeth Arden in the past and have loved it! At the moment I use a Clinique moisturiser with SPF and it’s great. xx

I’m all about rosehip oil myself! Put some of that on, then some sunscreen and I’m ready to go!
Thank you for sharing! I’m obsessed with what people’s skin care routines are (I had terrible skin growing up), and I love seeing all the different products that are out there! Also, your hair always looks so great…any chance we could get a hair care post? 🙂 thanks for everything you have seriously changed my life!
Wash your makeup off every night, no matter how tired you are. I keep face wipes for the nights when I am really thinking of skipping and need to make sure I cleanse before going to sleep.
So guilty here, never washed my makeup off a day in my life before bed, I’m going to start now……and face shaving!!!
I’m sunscreen obsessed now but I wish I was when I was a teen and in my early 20’s! I just started using a Clarin’s spf 40 facial fluid that rocks my world and doesn’t feel greasy. Life changing!
Where do you find all-natural soup?? Does Walmart carry any?
Whole Foods has awesome all-natural soap! xx.

I LOVE that white polish on you! totally pops!
The ceramide capsules are the best!
Vichy makes a great SPF 30 foundation that I pair with the Elizabeth Arden products in my morning routine!
Hi Lauryn, just read your article about the “Flawless Flawless Future Powered By Ceramide” and skin care tips, absolutely loved it. Thank you for shoring. I just wanted to follow up and ask a couple of questions…What is your favorite sun screen and how much and how often do you apply (and reapply) it? And from what age do you think we should start using anti-aging skincare products? I am about to turn 22 next week but sometimes I feel so awkward and uncomfortable buying and asking about anti0aging serums and eye treatment creams at the stores…
Thank you tons, always love reading your posts and all the comments!
Hi Lauryn,
Had to say, I totes adore you and this site. I am 28 with very dry, sensitive skin. I can’t afford some of the products here quite yet since I just finished school, but a great cheap way to moisturize is the mix some honey and a mashed up avocado together. Leave on for ten minutes or so and the wash off.
Love this post! All about prevention myself! You may want to try waiting an hour in between applying your serum and putting on a moisturizer. I used do the same thing- wait til it dries and apply it right after- but my derm told me it actually lessens the effects, and I should wait about an hour to give it more time to absorb so it doesn’t get diluted from the moisturizer.
Love this tip! x.
Thanks for the post.. I believe first step of skin care has to be understanding your skin type.. I am looking forward to read your another posts..
Love your tips for flawless skin! We always tell our clients that sunscreen is a must in any skincare routine and should never be skipped. Oh and that drinking water and staying hydrated is important too.
Lauryn, thanks for sharing this holy grail! I’m quite obsessed on how I’ll keep my skin young and hide my tiny imperfections. I’ve just read an article from http://www.enhancementscosmeticsurgery.com/6-steps-perfecting-makeup-makeup-look/ for a no make up look and this Elizabeth Arden serum is a perfect match. I’m quite the outside in person and perhaps I’d also try your healing bod regimen.
Oh thank you so much for these amazing skin care tips. Can’t agree more with what you eat shows on your skin.
I had terrible acne even after high school and realized it really is what you put inside your body that shows up on the outside. My sister gets breakouts on her face when she eats spicy food!!!
Also, I would recommend drinking lots of water, maybe even fruit infused waters to detox.
Thanks for this great tips about the skincare. Having a healthy and precious skin that’s very vital to look beautiful. When it comes to skin care, it’s necessary thing to choose the right skincare products that suitable to your skin type.
Just wanted to say, I need white nail polish. Your hands look great in the picture!!
Ok, off topic, but I just wanted to tell you.
Every time I choose to eat junk food (candy, fries, pizza, etc.) for an extended period of time, my face breaks out. Once I go back to eating healthy and exercising, my face clears up. Appreciate the tips!
Simple, clean, and efficient! I remember my mom using the Elizabeth Arden skin care products and as much as I tried to stay away because I thought it a little too antiquated, I have come back to the line of products! I had never thought to mix in the moisturizer with the foundation but I will have to absolutely try this! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for these tips. I will try patting the eye gel than pressing as advised above. It is a great tip to combat wrinkles. Can’t wait to incorporate these tips into my beauty regime.
I had no idea that putting on sunscreen or a moisturizer with sun screen was something I needed to do everyday. I’ll have to start looking for it!
Oily skin types might use moisturizer less often, but you actually need it just as much. Because people with oily or acne-prone skin often apply drying products, your skin may start to produce more oil to balance it out (yikes). But using a light moisturizer (especially one with oil-control properties) can help keep skin in balance and cause it to produce less oil over time. Thankfully, this list also includes light moisturizers that are perfect for oily skin — ones that don’t cause breakouts or extra shine, but do offer some hydration.
Thank you for your post. Do you have any tips for oily skins? Makeups also don’t last long in summer.
Such a wonderful products and tips you have shared. Thank you for providing this essential information about how to prevent our face from wrinkles and the use of these products.
Nice respond in return of this issue with genuine arguments and telling everything concerning that.
I never tried anti-aging products. But I am considering to try soon. And your recommendations helped me.
And thank you for the skincare tips. I also believe food is the main source of beauty.
