Forgive my pictures; it just wasn’t practical to lug around a heavy camera while out & about, so I had to use my phone. I figured I would share my highlights in SF with all of you. To enhance the list, I would love any recommendations for next time I am visiting San Francisco- comments below are welcomed!
+ Fab Places to Eat in San Fran:
Bocadillos: go for the cheese plate + a red spicy wine [ maybe even a Trumer pilsner beer too ; ) ]. Perfect for a late lunch & drinks.
Locanda: my appetizer was the carciofi crudi which is grilled ricotta, wild arugula, & avocado. As for an entree, I had the whole wheat spaghetti with olives paired with a big, hearty red wine.
Nopa: known for their food: I had a spring lettuce salad with strawberries, almonds & pantaleo and ended with the Moroccan vegetable tagine & almonds with lemon yogurt. This restaurant was one of my favorites.
Wayfare Tavern: my pick was the butter lettuce salad, fresh Kusshi oysters w/ lemon, & glass of champagne. Oh! And their herb cocktails are fab too.
+ What I’m Wearing:
Bracelets found here:
– House of Harlow cutout bracelet
– Urban Outfitters spiked bracelet [ similar ]
– Urban Outfitters cross bangle [ out of stock ]
– Urban Outfitters random bracelets [ similar ]
Jacket:
Vest:
P.S. the shopping is ridiculous here! Be prepared ; ).
+ Drinks Galore:
Absinthe: not only did we have an amazing brunch here [ the oatmeal + dried, sliced apricots was definitely memorable ], the drinks are world famous. Between the three of us we probably tested half of the cocktails on the menu. The owners/bartenders are known for penning the book, The Art of the Bar. They also own the insane bar below.
Comstock Saloon Bar: obviously a saloon-inspired bar with an old-school piano player, western double doors, & bartenders dressed like they’re from that specific era. The drinks really lived up to my expectations. These were some of the most impressive, professional bartenders I have ever seen & you can see they thoroughly enjoy their craft. My cocktail choice? The South Side Cocktail: gin, lemon, mint, sugar, & seltzer- such a treat! Since this was voted as “One of the Best Bars in America” by Esquire magazine, this place is a must.
As you can see too much eating & drinking – sigh – still paying for it today!

Looks like you had a fabulous time. I always tend to do the typical stuff in San Francisco. Clam Chowder in a Sourdough Bread Bowl and a Ghirardelli Hot Fudge Sunday. Touristy, I suppose, but oh so good.
Great blog!!
