So excited to announce that blog-doo just did their very first co-brand. If you’re unfamiliar with blog-doo, it’s a resource for a bloggers that I co-founded with my best friend Erica of @fashionlush ( we’ve been friends for more than 20 years ). Anyway, blog-doo collaborated with @shopryanporter to bring you the most NON-BASIC-BITCH fall candles you’ve ever seen. Because you know Erica & I are not about ugly burnt orange wax or cheesy, gross candles. Like, there’s nothing worse than a Yankee candle that’s so toxic & just doesn’t fit the aesthetic of your home. So we just had to update that.

We designed every little thing from the packaging to the colors, to the descriptions, to the specific scents. We went over so many scent options & really custom picked these ones for you guys.

So keep reading because we get to my updated morning routine that has been so amazing for life with a baby.

WHY YOU SHOULD TRIM YOUR CANDLES

♡ you’ll get a clean burn, meaning no smoke.

♡ the glass holders won’t get black soot at the top.

♡ your candles will last longer.

Sidenote: It’s important to trim your wicks before you light it when the wax is at room temperature, not after you blow it out when it’s burning hot.

Ok, so like I said, I wanted to share with you guys my updated morning routine that’s REALLY been working for me lately. Like, how good is it when you finally find something that WORKS ?? This might sound so extra, but honestly, it makes me so productive & effective while having a baby to take care of.

The Skinny Confidential Updated Morning Routine

♡ 7 am

Zaza is my alarm- lol. Open the shades, scrape tongue, drink lemon or mint water, play meditation music, light candles ( so into THE CRAFT scent right now ), diffuse oils, lay in bed with ZPB & read. Never touch my phone!

♡ 8 am

Make the bed, listen to a podcast or Audible ( something mentally stimulating ), red light therapy for 10 minutes, Wim Hof’s breathwork ( been life-changing ) with a fucking freezing cold shower for 3 minutes.

Sidenote: Wim Hof’s breathwork has been so incredible for my anxiety & just life, that we need to touch on it here again.

How To Do The Wim Hof Method:

First, find a comfortable place to sit. Lately my favorite places have been somewhere in nature or in front of the Joovv red light ( see all those benefits here ). So sit down, relax, & follow Wim’s method on YouTube which is about 10 minutes long.

What you do is take 30 quick, deep breaths, inhaling through your nose & exhaling through your mouth. Then you take another deep breath, & exhale for as long as you can until you need to take a breath again. Inhale again, hold it for 10 seconds & repeat.

It might sound confusing but check out his video for specifics. It’s super easy to follow when you do it with him & seriously, it’s been LIFE-CHANGING for me.

Here’s the real cherry on top…the second you’re done with the breathwork, hop into a freezing fucking cold shower for 3 minutes. Personally, I like to listen to The Daily Stoic podcast by Ryan Holiday while I do this because most of the episodes are 2-4 minutes long.

Have Caveman Coffee or a Pique Matcha with Gangster Chic inulin, write out my day, & tidy up the house a little.

♡ 9 am

Do a workout from The Skinny Confidential Body App, Parker Pilates or boxing.

♡ 10 am

WORK !!
