Hello, DIY DREAM CATCHERS!
This one’s for any hippie-loving-boho-free spirited-babe.
Since moving into my new casa, I’m a total white freak ( with a lil gold & turquoise ).
White curtains, white bed, white desk— ya get my drift.
So anyway, it’s no surprise that I wanted/needed/had to have white dream catchers all over my bedroom.
And these dream catchers were surprisingly easy to make…
BUT.
…I can’t lie- my crafty-ass friends, Erica ( from Fashionlush ) & Katie ( from The Fashion Bite ) def held my hand.
So, if you’re a real Crafty Connie, you’ll love this pretty, lil project.
Whatcha need:
<< metal hoops
<< white suede lace
<< sinew {or} waxed thread
<< super glue // clothespins
<< white feathers
<< dainty chain // trinkets // turquoise beads
How to:
1.} Wrap suede lace around a metal hoop. Use a clothing pin to hold things in place. When complete, finish it off with a bit of super glue to make sure it holds. Make sure to start wrapping with a little hoop so you’re able to hang it.
2.} Wrap waxed thread or sinew. This step can be difficult, but this diagram makes it easier to understand how to wrap a dreamcatcher.
3.} Add ribbons ( or use the leftover suede lace ). Tie them on to the dreamcatcher. Optional: throw a little chain into the mix hanging from the center of your DIY dreamcatcher.
4.} Finish things off with a couple pretty gold charms & add turquoise chunks.
5.} Tie off the ends of the ribbon ( or suede lace ) with a bunch of feathers.
I’m loving it hanging off the horn of this handsome skull.
Welllllll- what should we make for our next DIY? LMK below.

Love this, what a beautiful gift to give this holiday season! I am for sure making some of these. Thank you for sharing lots of love C
Oh, I’m absolutely in love with this thing and your decor in particular. Buy a house and make it white decor with colored spots – my dream;) Yours house looks so good – how hard it was to do?
simply lovely!
Oh, but do they catch dreams or “merely” inspire them? I once heard from a guy who was accepted into a First Nation tribe that did these things that it had to be somehow “impregnated” by a spell for to work in its alleged capacity. But then the inspiration and aesthetics is a reward in itself.
