4 Different Ways To Wear A Scarf Like A Badass Boss

four scarves ankle head wrap print fashion

Hey, hey it’s officially Fall which means it’s time to put away the pastels & grab a chunky sweater.

I’m here for it.

Even though it’s still hot AF in San Diego. I’ve been trying to incorporate some fall feels in to my wardrobe.

AND SCARF WILL BE MAKING A HUGE DEBUT.

I just feel like they’re something you can rock with anything to quickly spice up an outfit. Go for prints too ( I love leopard scarf- FUN ).

Anyway if you’re looking for some new ways to wear your scarves this season then check out this mini guide:

How To Wear A Scarf

4 Different Ways To Tie Your Scarf

FLIP IT AROUND

If you want to try something different, try wearing your scarf backwards. It’s hot when you have a backless dress on. Plus this way it adds drama & draws attention to the area in the best way possible. A long scarf like this striped black and white scarf works well since it’s long & thin.

ON THE ANKLE

Ankle scarfs are in. I mean, WAY in. I’ve been seeing them everywhere. If you don’t own a square silk or linen scarf it’s time to get one! I noticed the ankle scarf trend while traveling this summer & decided this was a very relevant TSC subject. Ankles are often under appreciated so it’s fun to show them some love. You can easily pair an ankle scarf with loafers ( you know I like mine white ) or tennis shoes.

IN YOUR HAIR

Ready to get a compliment on dirty hair? PLEASE try a headscarf. Washing your hair is hard. Wearing a scarf to cover it up is not. Use them as a headband to tame unruly, unwashed hair- it immediately makes the whole situation chic. My go-to look is a sleek ( dirty ) tight low pony with a scarf wrapped around and tied at the bottom. No one will ever know the real reason, HA.

AS A HOOD

Live your best scarf life, go all out, make your scarf the center of your outfit. If you are like me & you hate the sun, a scarf hood is ideal for coverage. Although you’re already wearing sunscreen ( because you’re wearing sunscreen every day right?? ), having your skin shaded makes a difference. The hooded scarf is kind of a hybrid: 1/2 blanket to wrap you up in & take a power nap in your Uber, 1/2 accessory. Maybe you’re hungover, maybe your hair is just really dirty, or maybe you just feel like wearing a fucking blanket wrapped around your head. Whatever!

All of this scarf talk has me feeling a bit chilly. I’m off to go make some homemade 5 second potpourri and mulled wine to get in the festive spirit.

What’s your favorite way to rock a scarf?

Happy Fall!
