COLLAGEN-BOOSTING SKINCARE EVERYONE CAN AFFORD

skincare | by the skinny confidentialskincare 12 | by the skinny confidential

So I’ve been searching HIGH & low looking for skincare that’s SUPER affordable but still SUPER EFFECTIVE. A lot of you guys have e-mailed me looking for something that won’t break the bank…& besides oils, a lot of the skincare I like can be pricy.

I mean serums can cost up to $70 dollars for a little bottle. My favorite mask ever is $75 bucks. And even caffeinated sunscreen is over $40.

Now I’m still in love with all of those products BUT for the longest time I’ve wanted to showcase products on The Skinny Confidential that everyone can afford.

WHICH IS WHY I AM V. V. EXCITED FOR TODAY.

After testing a zillion products ( really- everything under the sun ) I’ve found a skincare regimen that’s not only incredibly affordable, it’s effective too.

How do I know?

Well I put it to the test the whole time I was traveling.

For the record traveling gives me pimples. It just does. Which is unfortunate. BUT the whole time I was traveling, I was pimple-free. And I’m going to say it’s thanks to NxN?

Anyway, let’s back up here. Let’s talk about the reasons I decided to try this product in the first place. NxN:

♡ nourishes your skin with natural ingredients.

♡ contains NO artificial colors/fragrances.

♡ paraben free, sulfate free, hypoallergenic, made in the USA, never tested on animals ( UM YES PLZ ).

♡ ingredients include: coconut, Amazonian cacay oil, camellia, green tea, & grapeseed oils.

♡ boosts collagen…GIVE ME.

Those five things do it for me. And to find something that I can talk about on The Skinny Confidential that EVERYONE can afford gets me going. I feel like it does it for everyone, no?

While I was traveling my routine went like this:

I came back to our hotel ( late, usually- hello NYC & France ) & immediately went to the sink to take off my makeup with the cleanser- all the makeup would easily come off which is not surprising because HELLO THERE IS GRAPE SEED OIL IN IT. If you’ve been a long time reader you know that I live & die for taking my makeup off with grape seed oil. After that I threw on the beauty sleep moisturizer & some eye serum and chapstick and hopped into bed. Easy. In the mornings I tried the day cream under my makeup which is filled with marine minerals, raspberry seed, sea buckthorn, grape seed, & Amazonian cacay oil. Quick, simple, to the point.

Let me tell you guys, it’s not easy to find affordable, effective skin care. I know this first hand because I’m always looking.

Anyway, the first 100 TSC readers will receive the Zero Shine System for Oily/Combo Skin OR the Total Moisture System for Dry/Sensitive Skin for just $9.99. Simply go here & enter in the code SKINNYCONFIDENTIAL. The 2 Minute Club is a subscription based service, and you can cancel at anytime.

Before I go, I’d love to know: in what other areas do you want me to find something that’s affordable? For instance: handbags? Hair care? Loafers? You name it. I’ll pull out my magnifying glass- I love a challenge.

With that I’m off to watch Billions. You should know I’m very involved with this show. It hits the spot. So yes ginger turmeric tea, popcorn with dark chocolate chips, & Billions for us tonight. Hope you’re all having a good week!

See ya tomorrow.

  1. Would LOVE to find some cute flats that can be walked around in A LOT. I have a hard time splurging on shoes, so then I tend to go for cheap ones that don’t last or cause blisters.

  2. Is every post sponsored now? When they’re so obviously sponsored and products that you obviously don’t use, it just dilutes your brand.

    1. Hopefully you can find bloggers that you trust only promote sponsored products they actually try and enjoy! The vast majority of TSC readers trust her opinion, which is why we follow her. I am all for her making a living to support this incredible platform which I get to enjoy for free.

  3. Yes I would love to hear about affordable loafers! I love the white ones you’re always wearing but I can’t afford them. I ordered 3 lookalikes by now but ended up sending them all back because they weren’t pretty or comfortable! SO YES, LOAFERS PLEASE! 🙂 x Richelle

  4. I ordered!! So excited? I am 23 and just don’t have the money yet for super expensive skincare. I got the 9.99, too! so so excited 🙂 Thanks, Lauryn!

  5. I love this post! All about affordable skincare because I’m on a tight budget. I would LOVE for you to find great alternatives for Vital Proteins collagen peptides. I have one that tastes horrible and the Vital Proteins is just a bit out of my budget. I’d love a cheaper tasteless option!!

  6. OOooHh I am so happy you posted this. Amazing chemical free skincare that’s also cruelty free is so hard to hard, but so important. I use Arbonne skincare, makeup, and protein powder and I love it! I definitely recommend trying it, it’s all plant based too.

  7. I am dying to find an affordable but good quality carry-all bag – for my laptop and work essentials that actually looks cute while I walk around Toronto! Helllllp meet!

  8. Omg! I’m gonna have to try this brand! So many brands these days are super effective, but are soo pricey. AND I love to slather my skincare on night and day, but don’t want to waste money. Thanks for making posts like this for those of us who are on a college budget! beautifullybewitched.com

  9. I’ve been searching everywhere for affordable anti wrinkle serum/cream that actually works!

  10. Hey Lauryn! I love this post (and all post you make, I’m a big TSC fan!) I’m sure you would’ve linked the flamingo basket if you could, but where did you find it? Maybe I can do some digging around NY to get it. Also, totally random question (not about skincare) but I see you have the YSL sac du jour, I was wondering what size you got? Is it the Small, baby or nano? I’m getting it for my bday and can’t decide which to get! PS-I’m 5’0 (vertically challenged lmao) so maybe that could help? Thanks so much for always providing your readers with such great content!

  11. Just got mine in the mail and been using for 2 days. I already love it and the massive pimple on my chin has almost vanished! Well worth the $9.99 I paid thanks to you 🙂 LOVE the idea of more budget friendly products-Hope you do more of these.

  12. Very nice article. Thanks for sharing this well researched blog post. Skin care products are usually not budget friendly. I love that you have provided affordable products. I would love to try this soon. Is this available in every states in the US?
