Welp, just a few things—
Number one: ummm, hi 225 calories French toast.
Number two: this French toast that consists of barely anything. I mean…two pieces of toast ( sprouted // low carb // low cal, for that matter ), one egg, a couple berries, a squeeze of lemon, & some cinnamon?
I’m in.
& not so oddly enough, tonight I was craving breakfast for dinner.
So sue me.
This recipe just ‘gets me.’
It’s kinda carby-but-not-too-carby.
Ya, exactly— perfection.
Which brings me to number 3: if you’re looking for directions, they’re pretty damn easy:
Toast two pieces of super low carb/low cal bread ( make sure it’s sprouted, peeps ), whisk an egg ( << add to a dinner plate ), & mash your favorite berries with a fork ( remember my five second jam recipe? ).
After the above, keep it simple, stupid: soak both sides of toast with your super cool egg goo, add slices to a medium heat skillet, & cook until bubbly at the top ( flip once ). Whip up some 35 cal per slice organic turkey bacon & you’re golden. Add to a pretty plate & shock the F outta your taste buds. #kthx.
& lemme just say, you’ll love me for this one.
Fingers crossed.

{{ Another version skinny French toast can be found here, woot woot }}.
What is your favorite sprouted bread? I really like Alvarez St I believe it is called! Sounds like a great dinner recipe, thank you for sharing xo C
PERFECT French toast – delicious and healthy.
Love it! Been craving french toast for a while now… time to give in, guilt free! thx!
Never heard of sprouted bread, I’ll have to check that out
omg. LOVE french toast for breakfast, lunch AND dinner. Excited to try this version! Definitely going to try this ‘quick jam’ thing, too. Am I the only one who thinks most jams are WAY too sweet…?
Could you do a post on breads? The details on sprouted and non-sprouted, what to look for and what to avoid, etc.?
I love having breakfast for dinner, or any meal of the day for that matter. My favorite is the one banana one/two egg pancake, so delicious and low cal whats not to love!
This calls for some Ezekiel! Like, the best sprouted bread evah! + it’s filled with a ton of nutirents!!
Also, I don’t think it’s odd to have breaky for dinner – I do it all the time! Better to have the carbs in the eve! 😉
Breakfast for dinner is my favorite meal of the day 🙂 Thanks for sharing, looks phenom.
We’ve definitely made breakfast for dinner, though not for a long time! Dinner is a perfectly good time for breakfast burritos– or French toast. Love the mashed raspberries in this one!
It’s my favorite!! : ) The mashed raspberries are sooo yum.
Yum sounds delish!
Sounds so good ! I absolutely love your blog – beautiful photos and amazing tips and ideas. Would love it if were to check out my brand new blog – http://mindfulnesseating.com/ – my idea is to highlight the beauty and nourishing qualities of the food we eat 🙂
Hey there! I could have sworn I’ve been to this blog before but after reading through some
of the post I realized it’s new to me. Anyways, I’m definitely happy I found it and I’ll be book-marking and checking back frequently!
Thanks lady! x.
Well these look delicious!! Such a bonus that they’re so low in calories too…think I might just have breakfast at all times of the day! x

I LOVE french toast! I really want to try Ezekiel’s cinnamon raisin sprouted bread!
Oh so funny! I eat pretty much this same thing with a few tweaks almost every Friday (my stay at home and blog day) including this morning! Green smoothies M-Th. I make mine with the flax seed or raisin Ezekiel bread. Right now I’m obsessed with adding finely shredded organic unsweetened coconut- it’s like adding powdered sugar, but sooo much healthier!
You have some great tips here for living a healthy life. It is important to live healthy, but not necessarily needful to go on a diet. Just being smart with what you eat and how you eat it is enough. I like how you said to not ignore cravings, ignoring cravings is hard.
