[ Holiday candies ]
I spent my Tuesday night surrounded by peppermint candy canes, Christmas carols, & a fashion show to benefit San Diego After School All-Stars. Bloomingdale’s was kind enough to extend the invitation to myself & a few other bloggers [ see above ] to participate in their blog bar. The event, Fashion-Aiding: Holiday Mingle & Jingle, turned out lovely & the children were unbelievably sweet & appreciative.
Healthy, Skinny Tips for Holiday Events:
+ Eat something before the party begins [ I always eat protein before an event so I am not dying of hunger ].
+ Put the apps on a napkin: it’s smaller than a plate & keeps you accountable for portion control.
+ Bring a skinny recipe to the party [ apples with peanut butter, cheese & brown rice crackers and/or a veggie plate ]
+ Try not to consume too many Hors d’Oeuvres so there’s room for dessert.
+ Have a two drink limit [ ending up, drunk & dancing on the rented chairs is a no-no ]
+ Bring gum [ aspartame-free! ] for when you’re done munching.
