Finding a blog that speaks to you can be a bit of a challenge. I fell in love with Julie Ann Art immediately. After reading through her amazing DIY crafts, recipes, & inspiring post, I knew I had to highlight her charming blog. We talked fitness, diet, & beauty remedies:

+ Tell us about yourself and your blog.

Hi there! I am Julie, & I write the blog Julie Ann Art. It is focused on creative DIY projects & recipes. My favorite things to post are tutorials for weekly projects I like to do, but I also tend to squeeze in an outfit post on occasion, & most likely a picture or two of my Terrier pup, Penny!

+ Quick skinny tips or tricks?

Drink lots of water! I pretty much always have a glass of water by my side. Drinking consistently throughout the day keeps me hydrated & feeling full.

+ What is your weekly workout schedule?

Well, it varies. I am one of those people that uses “being busy” as an excuse. On top of my blog, I have an Etsy shop, & a full-time job, so things can get hectic. It is really hard for me to stick to the same schedule every week. On my best week, I go to Cardio Barre class [ LOVE! ] three times a week, & then mix in a work out DVD or a bike ride on another day.

+ Favorite go-to healthy food?

I have always loved salads. They are great because you can make them in so many different varieties. If I want something sweet I can add strawberries with a light raspberry vinaigrette dressing. I love adding hard boiled egg for protein. Yum, now I’m hungry!

+ Motivation to stay in shape?

What motivates me is when I see changes in my body. A few weeks after I started going to my Cardio Barre classes I started seeing more definition in my legs and arms, definition that I have never had before. It fueled me, I wanted to see more of that change.

+ What is your favorite beauty product?

I have two essentials. One, is a good moisturizer. I am one of those unlucky people who incredibly dry skin year round. I use Clinique’s face moisturizer & eye cream on my face. And I cannot go without mascara. I use a very basic, popular brand called Maybelline’s Great Lash.

+ What is a natural beauty remedy that you do?

Just good old-fashioned sleep…it’s something that is incredibly important to me because being tired & weary shows in your face so easily. Being well-rested keeps away those under eye bags!
