Benefits of Facial Massage Every Day

Benefits of Facial Massage Every Day

This may sound weird but I woke up in the middle of the night last week with a strong urge to really hit this home.

Facial massage is almost as important as sunscreen & I want every TSC reader to get on board.

Before we get into the benefits ( because there are like, a zillion ) I want you to know if you’re dead broke & can’t afford any of these tools, that’s fine.

You can do it for free. Here is kind of a quick video of how to do it at-home ( & I can assure you, if you want, I will do a whole wake-up with me video? ). Anyway, watch this video if you don’t want to spend any money on tools- just make sure you have oil.

And I’m even talking olive oil for a side salad. Like go to The Cheesecake Factory & ask for an extra side of olive oil ( raw is preferred, HA! ) & massage your face at-home for free. So NO excuses!

Whatever you do!!! GET ON BOARD WITH FACIAL MASSAGE! Remember we talked about how to make face bloat disappear? Anyone try it? Thoughts?

Ok wait, here’s the video & then we can breakdown all the glowy, dewy skin benefits, k?

As you can see: “stimulating the facial muscles with regular facial massage helps to bring oxygen to that area—which is a natural form of anti-aging skin care in itself.  Increase blood flow to the area increases collagen production, which gives a natural and healthy glow to the complexion.” { via }

If you’re still skeptical, which I really hope you aren’t, let’s talk benefits…( & in fact, I hope you’re reading the list of ENDLESS BENEFITS and you’re multi-tasking. You know, giving yourself a face massage while reading. It’s totally do-able, I’ve done it ).

YOU ALWAYS want some form of muscle stimulation through massage- between face massage & good skincare routine choices, this will make skin appear more youthful. Massage in the face relieves muscle tension and gets rid of toxins too…SOOOO basically the more blood stimulation the better.

( In fact to be honest I won’t even put makeup on without it now. I mean it’s like putting make-up on a pig’s skin without facial massage for me. Just being real with ya ).

Start upward & don’t forget the neck!! Check this out too:

Benefits of Facial Massage Every Day:

The crazy amazing advantages of facial massage

…OH & it feels fucking GREAT- lymphatic drainage at its finest guys.

how to prevent wrinkles by the skinny confidential

+ Clarisonic smart profile uplift

This device is described as: “a micro-firming massage device that smooths the look of fine lines and wrinkles, boosts the absorption of your daily skin care products, and with 27,000 micro-firming massages per use, delivers a pleasurable ‘spa-like experience.”

+ jade roller

The jade roller helps improve circulation, reduce wrinkles, replenish your facial muscles & revitalize the elasticity of the skin. Jade has been used for thousands of years to maintain body fluid.  It claims to promote lymphatic drainage in the face by placing pressure on the lymphatic system so that excess fluid flows outward.   Know your lymphatic system pressure points here.

+ Peter Thomas Roth ‘Cloud Serum’

This clear liquid gel serum has a 75% complex of Hyaluronic Acid, a potent hydrator that draws in water. It helps plump the look of skin with moisture.  Helps reduce the look of fine lines and texture. Sodium PCA and Silk Proteins help leave skin silky soft and matte.

+ Ice Roller

The ice roller is incredibly simple, intuitive, and low-effort. Just store it in your freezer to ensure that the roller head is always cool. Each morning, when you want to wake up and energize your skin, roll it over by gently massaging your cheeks, eye area, and neck. The tightening effect makes your face and jawline look slimmer, like a great contouring job in the form of a pleasant and cooling spa-like experience.

Want more ways to improve the rolling experience by using a high-quality, cooling facial oil packed with antioxidants & vitamins.  This essential oil penetrates quickly to help hydrate and firm the skin – try the Ice Queen Face Oil!

+ Herbivore Rose Quartz Gua Sha

This gua sha tool is such a good way to sculpt and tone the face. Not only that, it’s so good for lymphatic drainage and feels so damn good.

If you’ve never done gua sha and want to learn how to do it yourself at home FOR FREE, check out this tutorial.

+ Rawsome Flex Book

This book discusses the benefits of a raw food diet and the importance of doing facial exercises.

Serums & oils I like to use while massaging? Glad you asked: a brightening serum is great, I’m obsessed with this collagen/Vitamin C medley, and then, you guessed it: oil. Easy. Quick. & fabulous. Rubby, rub.

Skin Tip: Apply all eye products with your ring finger! While applying eye creams and balms, tapping with your ring finger provides just enough pressure. Because the skin around your eyes is extremely delicate.

LAST thing you should know while we’re on the subject of facial massage: when it comes to tools, if you have a Clarisonic skin brush, you can use this massage head to switch out instead of buying a new one. Fun!

OH & THIS ORANGE DRESS. Short story: I found this H&M orange dress a while back. Kourtney K. was wearing it & I wanted it. So like I said, I found it. But it was only avail in Canada ( highly annoying, they were sold out in the US ). SOOOO I did what I do best & asked you guys! Through Snapchat I was able to find a TSC reader who lives in Canada. She was kind enough to GIVE ME HER ADDRESS, let me order it to her house, & then ship it to my house!! WHAT A STAR. Totally felt the need to tell you about my $40 dollar orange dress situation since I’ve very happy about it.

Ok I’m done. In bed currently drinking CALM tea which is literally natural Xanax & simultaneously watching RHOC which needs to step it up this season. It’s like they drank too much CALM tea.  I need my drama stepped up here.

Happy Wednesday, see you tomorrow!

  1. I adore my jade roller – I use it every night and I can feel it massaging away the days stress and anxiety.
That aside, I love the way you style your links – any hints on the css you use for it, please? 🙂

  2. Would love to see a wake-up with me video! And if you ever need anything from Canada again I’m your gal – I live there too!

  3. Thanks for sharing this post, I’ve always wanted to try a Jade roller, and I think I may just invest in one after reading this.

  4. I don’t think you can just buy the separate Clarisonic head, that link specifically says it works with Smart Profile devices only. I looked into this when you first posted about their new tool but I’m not going to invest $300+ in another Clarisonic 🙁

  5. I LOVE this, thank you for sharing! I’ve heard of a few of these, and have been curious about them. Will definitely give them a try <3

  6. I LOVE this, thank you for sharing! I’ve heard of a few of these, and have been curious about them. Will definitely give them a try <3

  7. If you use the ice roller in the morning before makeup, when is the appropriate time to use the jade roller?? i am 32 with subtle train tracks (fml) starting to creep on my forehead..

    1. I’d love to say that I would do both but I won’t – which would you priroitize?

  8. I definitely want to try this. In the morning, do you begin with these steps after you’ve washed your face? I typically shower at night so I don’t always wash my face in the morning.

  9. Thank you for the great info! Question tho…I wake up at 4:30 a.m. to get my workout in. Would I ice roll when I first get up or should I wait until after my workout (obviously after a shower LOL)? Thank you!

  10. Hi! First of all, THANK YOU for making it so much easier to navigate the waters of anti-aging products and routines.. the information on the internet is overwhelming! I was just wondering if you have ever actually tried attaching the Firming Massage Head to the the Clarisonic Skin Brush? All of the product descriptions for the massage head says it won’t fit on the Mia Skin Brush, but I can totally understand why they market it that way.. Why would anyone want to buy the $300 Smart Profile Uplift if they didn’t have to am I right?! I really really REALLY want to try facial massage, but I am getting married this year and $300 for the smart profile uplift just isn’t in the budget.. Do you know anyone who has had success using the massage head on the skin brush?

    1. I have never tried to attach it, but I think it would not be able to attach. Just doing at home DIY massage is great too! x
