[ Ants on a Log ]
There is something comforting about snacking on a childhood staple. “Ants on a Log” was definitely one of my favorite munchies growing up & still is. I used blueberry Craisins on my “celery log” instead of raisins & sunflower butter instead of peanut butter. Celery is fab to juice, add to salads or throw in soups…especially since it contains negative calories [ more calories are expended chewing & digesting, than in the veggies itself ]. Bring on the celery!
[ Celery is extremely effective towards weight loss: eleven cals per stick ]
[ I used six Craisins on each celery stick ]
[ Almond butter or sunflower seed butter are perfect peanut butter substitutes ]
These look delicious! I always end up adding a little drizzle of honey whenever I eat peanut butter to give it a little more sweetness. Can’t wait to try these with the cranberries.

I have to try honey! YUM!
I tried this with almond butter today and it was so delicious! It was almost 4 pm, and I was starting to feel hungry so I had a celery stick with craisins and almond butter…very filling. My need for further snacking until dinner later tonight went away!
Thanks for introducing me to almond butter. It is yummy!
