So…you are working your ass off on the reg. Let’s say you’re running on the treadmill four days week. Or every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, is the typical [ & predictable ] weights. Or maybe you’re spinning every Tuesday & Thursday…but you’re still not seeing the results. This is a workout plateau. Switch up your routine!!! Mix it up ASAP.
I change it up as often as possible: hiking, Pure Barre, reformer Pilates, mat Pilates, elliptical, strength training, Roc-It, walking, swimming, beach fitness w/ my workout group, yoga, hot yoga, sculpt yoga, any yoga, weights, Kettlebells, spinning, &/or MOVING in anyway. Forget that routine crap!
+ Five Ways to Break Your Workout Plateau:
+ Workout harder. Pump it up. If you’re not sweating, you’re not working hard enough. Enough said.
+ Don’t be fooled. Even though those the scale isn’t decreasing from those intense workouts, your pants fit better. This is because the body loses weight & eventually slims out with muscle/tone. Buh-bye blubber!
+ Be patient. It takes dedication & hard work to tone up. Give it a few weeks before you see the results you’re striving for.
+ Trick your bod. Make changes to your workouts every couple of weeks. You don’t want to get too used to doing the same fitness routine or it’s not as challenging. I’m sure you all know what I mean…stop whining & up the intensity.
+ Eat right. Stop cheating. Put down the candy bar, chips, etc. & move your body!
P.S. some of you have asked me where I bought this outfit. Similar skirt found here, similar bodysuit found here, similar bracelet found here, & body chain found here.

Great post! I’ve finally been getting back into working out after taking too much time off and it feels great. I try to take kickboxing 2 times a week and then run/walk on treadmill 2 days. It’s always nice to read encouraging posts to help keep it up! Working out isn’t just good for your body, I feel like it’s a huge stress reliever and I feel much nicer and happier after sweating it out!

Good luck!
What a great post! I often get stuck in a rut and doing the same exercise routine becomes stale. Switching things up often is a better motivational strategy.
