Hello. Hi. I am late.
As usual.
I feel like I’ve delayed posting our wedding for so long because……….things take me a while? Well it’s time to post something, right.
So. I’ll get straight to the point with 5 highlights from our wedding. They’re simple but special & I thought I’d share a little peek:
1.) Pre-podcast from our wedding:
Podcasting from Cabo was FUN. Really though, it was kind of a different approach to start off our wedding festivities. We told our whole story & how we ended up getting married ( we’ve known each other since we were 12 !! ). This episode was especially important to us because it told our story start to finish. We will have it for our kids. The ultimate audio experience. & we definitely downed a few skinny ( half-rimmed salt ) margaritas before so there’s that. Happy listening!
2.) YES. The music:
Our choices were VERY specific, surprise surprise. We walked down the aisle to Bossanova as a tribute to my grandma and Godparents. The “Here Comes the Bride” song was very, VERY Brazilian Bossanova.
Then we added a twist & walked back down the aisle to “Hybrid Moments” by The Misfits. The Misfits are a total heavy metal band. LIKE an American horror punk band. It was blasting as we ran down the aisle & everyone toasted with chilled champagne!
So again, contrast here. Light, fluffy, girly music to start & crazy, heavy metal to walk off.
3.) Our friend’s & family’s speeches:
They were all very personal. Speeches by people who really, really knew us. Our friends did an amazing job of making their speeches about our story together as opposed to separate stories. If that makes sense? Each person told the story of us as a couple- together- as friends.
AS FOR FAMILY, they were short, to the point, & amazing. Our family was so on board to have fun and let loose. No Negative Nancy’s, you know? AND NOTHING too long. We didn’t want to put people to sleep in their tacos.
Each speech was specific & meaningful…besides Taylor’s speech. Did you hear his speech? If not, listen to it go down in this podcast episode ( #42 ). He talked about how I ( yes, me ) had the biggest dick at the wedding. HMMM, what Taylor?
LOVE OUR FRIENDS & FAMILY.
4.) 55 people.
THE BEST PART. I cannot tell you how much I loved a small ( SMALL ), intimate wedding.
There was something so special about having a wedding where we genuinely loved every single person. There wasn’t one point in the night where I felt like I had to entertain or over-extend myself. Everyone did their thing.. I wouldn’t change it for the world. No bugging, no annoyances, no drama.
5.) The ENDING: pool party.
By far my favorite part of the wedding: everyone ended up in the pool. YES SO FUN. Everyone, & I mean everyone ended up in the pool after our wedding. They were splashing around with tequila shots, laughing, screaming, having a ball in the pool. My dad, uncle, cousins, best friends, sisters, brothers, aunts, EVERYONE. In the pool !
It was hysterical !! Very festive way to end too.
The resort told us that this was the first time in 15 years people got in the pool after a wedding…LOL.
So we did it our way, on our terms!
…& after the pool party we all went to our room & ate burgers & drank champagne.
More specific/detailed wedding moments to come. In the meantime, you can stalk our wedding weekend.
Happy hump day- we’re off to enjoy some Italian food ( lentil salad with goat cheese, spinach, lemon, & chili flakes ) & some good dry red wine.
See you guys tomorrow. Be sure you’re following along on Snapchat because we are interviewing someone I LOVEEEEE on the podcast tomorrow & bringing you guys along!

Your wedding looked absolutely AMAZING!! I loved watching every moment on Snapchat (thanks for allowing us to see it btw!), listening to your pre and post wedding podcast felt like we were part of it all but then the main event was so intimate – the dresses, the flowers, the vibes…everything just looked perfect and soooo on brand!! How chic! Your relationship is definitely relationship goals for us! <3
