Starbucks iced passion fruit tea + green tea = my latest obsession. A few weeks ago I passed my Proformer Pilates certification test [ pretty excited…I’ll be teaching at BodyROK {!!!} ], instead of celebrating with typical bubbly, we clinked glasses with this flavorful, pink lemonade. There’s practically no cals, no sugar, & no carbs: I bought two ‘trenta-sized’ Starbucks iced teas [ they both contained half passion fruit tea/half green tea/with no sweetener & light water ]. Then poured both cups to an ice-filled pitcher + strawberries & sliced lemons [ feel free to add a bit of Stevia too ; ) ].

Tada. Concentrated lemonade, sugary cranberry crap, & fake orange juice can F off!! Lol.

This ruby red dime may or may not taste amazing with vodka/tequila/gin…just saying.

Everyone should own a blender- they’re a fabulous investment towards staying healthy. Speaking of healthy, chugging down a smoothie [ and no, Jamba Juice doesn’t count ] is perfect way to attain tons of vitamins & essential nutrients; personally I’m obsessed with making my own at home [ evidence found here and here ]. If that’s not enough of a reason to guzzle them down, then here’s three more: drinking smoothies before a big dinner out will prevent overeating, they deceptively hide any bitter-tasting veggies [ think kale ], & they take minutes to prepare.

++ Quick Skinny Tip: you don’t need a gallon of juice to make a smoothie delicious. Use fruits to substitute juice. My rule of thumb is two to three splashes of juice for each recipe. Oh, & make sure the juice is not from concentrate- yuck!

Egg White French Toast

Lauryn Evarts, fitness and health blogger, from Southern California with skinny tips and tricks on how to lose weight.

Some friends have asked me if I ever run out of blog post topics…the answer is a solid no. There’s always constant inspiration, a boatload of new recipes, & countless easy, new diet modifications available. If you’re bored because you’re consuming the same healthy foods day after day, mix it up. This Rice Milk & egg white French toast recipe took a full fifteen minutes to whip up last Saturday AM. It’s possible to make every meal delicious, pretty, and healthy. Also I know I advocate lemon on everything, but trust me, lemon on French toast is heavenly.

Blogger: Sara Montazami

Lauryn Evarts, fitness blogger talks with Sara Montazami of VeckoRevyn about skinny tips and tricks.

I so thrilled to introduce you all to my girlfriend, Sara. She is a famous blogger from Sweden [ fun fact: her mother starred in the Swedish version of Real Housewives ]. She now lives in San Diego & interns at TransWorld Surf, while she works towards her college degree. She has been one of my main workout partners & often takes Pure Barre. + Tell us about yourself & your blog.

I am a twenty-one year old girl living in Carlsbad, California. I blog for a Swedish magazine named VeckoRevyn. I focus on taking pictures of my everyday life, including my family, friends, fashion, food, & the beautiful scenery around me.

+ Quick skinny tip? 

I always try to eat small meals throughout the day rather than a few large ones. It is important to keep your metabolism going & since it starts in the morning, I always make sure to have breakfast with a big cup of coffee. I find myself eating healthier throughout the day when I start with a nutritious breakfast.

+ Weekly workout schedule?

I love working out! I try to workout as much as possible with a couple days of rest days throughout the week. I practice hot yoga at Core Power Yoga about three or four times a week, I enjoy going to the gym and working with hand weights and exercise balls, & I also love getting my cardio on by running along the beach. If I am feeling really great then I take it to the next level & run on the sand.

+ Favorite healthy go-to meal?

I am definitely a salmon girl. If there is something on the menu at a restaurant that involves salmon and grilled vegetables, I’m in!

+ Cocktail of choice?

My absolute favorite drink is a vodka tonic with lime! Yum :).

+ Motivation to stay in shape?

I work out and eat healthy because it makes me feel so much better about myself. Not just physically, but mentally as well.

My favorite beauty product is my Clarisonic facial cleanser. It is the best thing that I have ever used for washing my face & I have really noticed amazing changes.

I love getting massages! I seriously do not know what I would do without them. It is the perfect way to relax after a long eventful day.
