Core40 Pilates has changed my life! Not only do I take the workout, but I’ve taught it too. The genius creator, Sebastian Lagree, has the sweetest, most gorgeous wife, Carrie. So, today Carrie [ who also happens to be a model ] is spilling all her tips & tricks when it comes to staying fit. Her bod is rockin’…which is exactly why I LOVE this exercise— it lengths & leans, rather than adding bulk. Just look at her!!

+ Introduce yourself:
Carrie Lagree: My name is Carrie Lagree. I’m a model/housewife living in Sherman Oaks, California. I live with my husband, Sebastien Lagree, who is the creator of Lagree Fitness ( aka the exercise Core40 provides ), & our four dogs- B.B., Belle, Benji & Brutus. I’m originally from Texas, but I moved to California in 2003.
+ Tell us alllll about your weekly workout sch.
CL: My weekly workout schedule is always different depending on how busy I am. I try to do my husband’s workout twice a week & I also do yoga one to two times a week. The rest of the exercise I get is from walking my dogs and chasing after them! LOL! I also love to go swimming, rollerskating, & hiking. I love working out with friends.
+ Let’s talk BodyRoK; I’m obsessed- I love teaching it AND taking it. What’s your opinion?
CL: Lagree Fitness/BodyRoK is an amazing workout!! You do all kinds of crazy intense exercises on the machine while working parts of your body you would never be able to get to at the gym. I always feel so much better about myself after I do it…and I’m always sore the next day [ the good kind of sore : ) ].
+ Favie BodyRoK move?
CL: My favorite move is called ‘the bungee kick’; I’m all about working the butt!
+ Natural beauty product you swear by?
CL: I love using organic coconut oil– it’s great to condition your hair & skin!! Every once in a while when I am laying out in the sun I will put it on.
+ Quick skinny tip?
CL: I am not a diet person; diets have never worked for me. I try to walk to do most of my errands- I walk to the grocery store, to the dry cleaners, to Starbucks, etc…If you have dog, take your dog for a long walk, they’ll love it and you’ll feel skinnier after!
I don’t deprive myself from any food- if I’m out to dinner and after my meal I want dessert, but I know I have a shoot the next morning, I’ll order dessert & just let myself have a taste of it so I am satisfied. I can bring the rest home or my husband will usually eat it :-). This seems to works best, because if I deprive myself from something I really want, I’ll just end up going back later & eating twice as much as I would have in the first place.
I also think it’s better to eat five to six small meals instead of three big meals a day. I try to keep almonds or protein bars in my car if I know I am going to be gone/driving around all day.
+ Healthy snack choice?
CL: My favorite healthy snack is fruit, but my new thing is kale chips. My girlfriend came over one day & put a bunch of kale on a cookie sheet, then she topped it off with a little olive oil & seasoning salt and put it in the oven for about ten minutes. When she took them out, they were amazing!! Tasted so good & kale is really good for you. I’ve been making them ever since.
+ Fav cocktail?
CL: Champagne! But I love wine, cocktails, & sometimes- shots! You only live once ;).
